Everything was fabulous except no frig microwave, and not enough outlets in room. The property is well keep and staff wonderful but rooms just need updating. Definitely will go back but hoping this is helpful tips. LOVE MT DORA!

Outstanding location and a lovely property. However, the furnishings in the rooms (and the lobby for that matter) are severely outdated. Hallways also had a musty odor. No coffemaker or refrigerator in the room.

We loved the old charm of the Lakeside Inn! It was a perfect setting for our 42nd anniversary get-a-way! Our room was very comfortable and the views were amazing! The staff at the hotel was very friendly. The food at the restaurant was delicious!

This was our first time staying here. We were here for 2 nights. When we woke up the first morning there, there were little bug wings everywhere and we also found a pair of sweat pants behind one of the night stands. When I told the front desk about these, the lady said the wings were fairy wings and when I told her about the pants, all she had to say was, “that’s gross”. Yep, it was gross!

I really wanted to love this place but it fell short. First the property itself outside is beautiful. However, the building and room was very musty smelling and there was glass in my room which I cut my foot. The restaurant was overpriced and couldn’t seem to cook my filet correctly, even after 2 tries. I will stick to a chain in the future.

Lakeside Inn since 1883. Property is in great shape. The only problem was what they call them is blind mosquitoes that come from the lake. They might be able to help reduce the amount of them by using fans on the porch or maybe screens. So bad you couldn't sit out there in the morning.

Charming picturesque vintage lakeside inn. Unfortunately, that meant really small room with an ac that cooled the room but left it very humid. Clean but old, our section was built in 1927, but no vent for bathroom and window painted shut in a century worth of flaked paint. Restaurant was under renovation but full menu was available in bar. Food was good but service was extremely slow and there were only two other tables of guests. Pool was ok, but lots of lakeside bugs and my wife got a spider bite. No frozen drinks at pool bar, had to walk to main bar inside the inn for pina colada’s. Staff was friendly but stay was just ok.

Historical building with amazing views and perfect location to walk to the heart of Mount Dora! Rooms towels and beddings were clean . Carpet in the room and walkways including steps need replaced or updated . Pool furniture terrible condition , was no towels by the pool. Personal slow to serve in restaurant, bartender was drunk that day ( memorial weekend) can be water offered by pool ( was very hot ) bar was slow service ( even though was not busy) Need better management. Not very pleasant experience for our 2 days to visit for the money we paid. We had better experience with local AIRBNBS

Love Mount Dora

The staff is friendly, but they possibly could use more help This was a nice weekend stay, unfortunately the hotel is getting a little more run down. Could use some new mattresses inside. I’m sure some of the rooms although Kristin. In housekeeping kept our room, tidy and clean while we were there. I do suggest breakfast and dinner at the hotel. It was one of our best meals.
