This place was a tremendous surprise. First of all the location is great: a safe, upscale neighborhood. After a long road trip, Stephen welcomed us at the front desk when we came to check in late. He was extremely helpful and kind. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I had waffles and my son had biscuits and gravy. The decor is fresh and updated, the pool area very clean with charming murals on all of the walls. Nice hot tub. I’ve stayed in many hotels and it is hard to know by pictures and reviews sometimes, but I would not hesitate to go back to this place or recommend it to anyone else! Book here with confidence.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but updates are needed. The bathrooms appear old and outdated. There was very poor water pressure in the shower. There was not even enough pressure to push the water up to the showerhead. We had to kneel under the faucet to try and wash the soap out of our hair. There was also paint chipping away and floors and walls with marks from years of use.

For what seems to be a recently updated hotel there seems to a lot of misses. there was no water pressure had to wait hrs before you could shower. there was long hair in scrambled eggs. tv reception was horrible even when it wasnt snowing. there was a large gap behind the heat/AC unit. my shower gel seemed to be used already, half was gone. There was unattended children running in the halls all hours of the night and in the pool area. Bed was comfy though!

At this price point I expect a clean room. The bathroom was dirty. The toilet was not clean and had urine stains around the seat. The floor in the main living space had so much dirt and dust, I'm certain it was not swept before my stay. I used baby wipes to clean before I would walk barefoot. The shower curtains were so stained and the shower had left over soap and containers from the previous occupant, I really did not want to shower in the shower.

Definitely enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and modern, and the hotel itself was very quiet! I love that they offer continental breakfast, however their juice machine was down and that was kinda a bummer for me because there weren’t any other options besides coffee. The staff were super nice and accommodating and they were willing to share some local places to go while in town. I really wish I would’ve had time to swim because I’d definitely would’ve been in the pool. I would totally stay here again if I’m ever in Oskaloosa. I also loved that it was secluded in a very nice neighborhood. 9.5/10

Arrived at hotel to checkin at 3pm and room wasnt ready. Went back at 5pm and was given room keys to a room that hadnt been cleaned. After much discussion someone agreed to come in an clean it while we went to our evening activity (which we changed for at the event). Arrived back at 8pm room was cleaned and all was well until we discovered the jetted tub didnt work. The following morning i asked if we could extend our stay through the Iowa game and was told since I booked through a 3rd party that wasn't possible. We have stayed here many times in the same type of room with none of these issues but not sure we will be back after this weekend.
