We stayed twice. Our 10/23-24 stay the staff was wonderful. The bathroom was not clean. Our 10/27-28 stay the staff was wonderful and the room was spotless On both stays the pancake maker didn't work which was very disappointing. Will come back on our next trip to Wisconsin.

The lobby sitting area was very nice and cozy. Typical upper Michigan decor. The entire staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly with anything we needed. However, attention needs to be paid to appearances of all behind desk staff. Some walked around with no shoes on, pants half way down with underwear showing. Pool and hot tub were very clean and kept up. Room was clean but carpet was in bad need of a cleaning. Do not walk in room without something on feet. Shower was great, however bathroom sink lacked hot water and pressure. Really small TV in room. Beds were very comfortable. Very disappointed in breakfast. Two days there was nothing hot to eat in the warmer; boiled eggs looked slimy and wrinkly. You could tell new eggs were put out on the 3rd day of our stay. One morning a stink bug was floating in the apple juice and we were entertained by a mouse running around in the entrance way. In all fairness to the mouse, it was cold outside and he just wanted to come in where it was warm. There was D-con behind plant for him to nibble on. I know I probably sound like a “Karen” but all in all this is a great place to stay. Please don’t be discouraged. There are just a few things staff and owners need to work on.

Overall Great Stay!

Very friendly and attentive staff, the facility was clean, good location for our purposes (Mackinaw), and quiet. Although rooms were a bit dated, everything worked and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t use the pool but it looked well maintained. Breakfast was a true continental so convenient with basics such as cereal, oatmeal, and breads. It met our needs and was very fairly priced. We would consider staying again if we are headed that way.

We didn’t have a chance to hit the breakfast but the room, bed, sinks were clean. Looked at the pool and hot tub, both appeared functional. Quiet. Would go back.

Worst breakfast ever. Hard boiled eggs with a paper-like texture on the outside. They offered pancakes, but only provided one syrup squeeze bottle that was near empty. I ate a bowl of stale Cheerios and left. Not worth getting up for.

The best part of this place was the lobby and pool. The carpets were stained and dirty. Rust in the sink and tub which they said was because if the hard water, should have a fix for that. Beer can on the floor in the bathroom under the sink. I told the desk about it snd they said they would come pick it up. I had already taken care of it but wanted them to know the room wasn’t well cleaned. Later found a box in the fridge with one beer in it. We had the last room by the door . Very noisy and could hear people talking in the hallway. I would say the lady and gentleman at the front desk was very polite and friendly. From what I overheard from another guest staying there and come there every year for 10 years us all the staff walked out a week before. I would not go stay there again.

It is out dated which is fine. Breakfast was just random items. Example sausage links and biscuits. No gravey. Pancake machine was annoying most who used it. Room was never cleaned. I even called front desk & requested it. Never came we had to stop daily for towels. Even had to request toilet paper. We left the last night because the room was lacking. Also bedding is laundered in something harsh. I have stayed in many hotels first one the bedding made my skin itch.

Not happy about the extra fee ffor the pet stays free. Had to pay $100.00 for 2 night it was to be a deposit but that is not what was done. Lots of up grades, I think is what they were doing. I will not stay again.

The room and the bathroom were disgusting. The girl in the bathroom should be white, and it was almost black. They were pubic hairs.(I believe) left in the shower, there was a dead bug on the counter in the bathroom when we first arrived. They were stains throughout the carpet in the room. The rest of the property was great, our room and bathroom were not good.

No elevator to the second floor, doors in back of hotel were not locked at night/ no key card reader, at least they had good lighting in the parking lot. The breakfast coffee was very weak, gravy for biscuits was not good. Melissa was very helpful with the WiFi that I needed to work but had terrible time connecting. They tried to charge us $50/night for a pet before lowering the rate when we balked.
