I appreciated the uniqueness of the bedroom separated from the bathroom. The service, food, tea time, and location were all great! We would certainly stay there again.

My first time visiting Mackinac Island and this was the best place to stay. Affordable, fantastic staff, welcoming, cozy, quiet, walkable, and close to arch rock and trails. Had a view of the lake and the rooms were updated and cozy. If you are staying on the island and want the charm of the island away from the noise. Pine cottage is only a 5 min walk from the center of town.

Overall, it was a great place to stay. The staff was so friendly and very helpful with explaining how the luggage would get to the place. The building itself was also very pretty and I really liked the large porch. The location was good since it was close to the downtown area and the bed was very comfortable. I also really enjoyed sitting in the living room area and playing a game. There was quite a selection of games! There were a few things that I didn't like... the building is up a hill and then I was on the 3rd floor so it was a bit difficult for me considering I'm over 50 and not in the best shape. I also didn't like the small sink in the bathroom and the very small shelf. I could barely put a toothbrush and toothpaste on the shelf. The breakfast was also just ok.

Pine Cottage was a short walk away from the busy downtown area, up a quiet side street. The innkeepers, Caroline and Rose were delightful. They were genuinely happy to have us as guests, very responsive and helpful. Hot breakfast was delicious, provided buffet style. Our room was small, but very adequate. The bed, linens, pillow were all very comfortable. The shared bathroom was very clean and well-stocked. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Although a shared bathroom is not ideal any wait time was not bad. They had a full size box fan in the room which was awesome. We were on the second floor, which is four flights of stairs and they brought all of our luggage to our room. Check in was easy and the hand writtsn welcome cards and messages were great.

We thoroughly adored Mackinac Island. Our stay at Pine Cottage was very good. We had a spacious room with a fabulous view of the bay. Everything was clean and we had a super sized bed which we loved. Breakfast was something different and delicious everyday and really set us up for the day. The cottage is in a super location for the island and it's great to rent bikes whilst here so you can see the island very easily.
