Went with wife and kids for two nights. Picked the best room near the canal with kitchen. Found a cockroach as soon as we enter the room. The property is old and the rooms very wear down . Right before bed time found two more cockroaches in the bathroom, next morning we left and Booked at different hotel. Will never come back this place. Canal is also small with not fish on it , just a manatee, so don’t expect to do any fishing from the canal

We stayed one night at Coconut Cay for the Fantasy fest. Is about 45-50 mins drive to Key West where the event was taking place. We chose this hotel not only because it was cheaper than staying at key west, but also because of how well kept it is and clean. We enjoyed our stay, no complains. The front desk lady was really nice she even let us check in earlier considering we were really coming back past midnight. The place has a boat / jet ski ramp, and they have kayaks you can use free of charge as well as bicycles. We will definitely go back in the summer and take our water toys. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a hotel in Marathon.

Older motel that has been recently updated. Very clean, nice pool, grounds are nice, neat. Offers kayaks and bikes. Very near a small airport and right on 1, so there is some noise, but it is worth staying here. We had a very comfortable king bed, small fridge, microwave, and pod coffee maker. I really liked the place and would stay here again.

When we got to our room, it was evident that it hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was made but the sheets had visible stains and dirt (even some rice) on them. They gave us a different room when we went to let the office staff know. The new room had clean sheets but was still dirty. I didn’t expect a beautiful room due to the price but the cleanliness (or lack of) was disappointing. Location was good and the Staff was friendly.
