Calm, Serene, Relaxing Stay

I stay was short, just one night, but it was great. We would definitely return. It's a serene setting, and All the staff was extremely friendly. We were in a one-bedroom unit, and it was decorated beautifully, comfortable seating in the living area, and the bed was very comfy. There was a lot of space. The bathrooms are larger than usual, with double sinks and plenty of counter space. Our unit had a shower and no tub, but that's all we needed.

Wonderful Getaway

This was our second time at Carter Creek. We love the location and the fact that they have a restaurant bar on site. Judy and Juaquin at 290 were amazing. Will definitely be back again.

For the price of the stay for 3 nights you would've thought that the food and beverages were included in the stay, we paid a total of $867.00 and the amenities weren't at all good. The menu choice of food wasn't good either and to say that we had to pay for it didn't sit too well with me, we left the resort and went to 2 local restaurants and enjoyed the food. Whomever stayed in our room before us had a pet, the room was not cleaned good at all there was pet hair on the chair and on the bed so I'm assuming our sheets weren't swapped out for new clean ones. The scenery is beautiful so I'm not going to take away from that part. When ordered wine of the "Wine club member" menu I was told by our server that that wine is for Wine club members only, he never asked was we wine club members he just assumed we weren't and we were definitely wine club members. I don't want to make assumptions but I feel like he looked at the color of my skin and assumed that I wasn't a wine club member. I watched him ask others were they members before placing their orders but never asked us.

Couple getaway for wine pickup

Third stay there. Carter Creek is always clean, staff is very kind in all departments and we enjoyed the dinner with the live music! The only problem is the Folgers and the coffee pot leaked they had in the room to drink in the mornings…Folgers isn’t great and it’s a resort/spa. Maybe a little higher end coffee would be great

The road noise was the most disappointing part of the whole trip. I put in my booking notes to be placed as far as away from the road, I believe I was put in one of the closest rooms to the road. I even called ahead of time to ensure and it didn't make any difference. I was pleased to be able to check-in a couple of hours in advance, but I'm sure it was only because I checked in on a holiday. I was also disappointed to pay a resort fee for a spa and wine tasting room that were both closed. When I had called ahead of time, no one made any mention of any of these amenities being closed, so that was not cool. I bought a bottle of wine that couldn't be opened because they didn't put a bottle opener in the room. The girl at the front almost didn't find one for me to use, and it didn't work correctly when I got back to my room. The lady at the front in the morning was nice enough but seemed a little frazzled with a number of things going on at the same time, including me trying to check out. She printed me a receipt for someone else's room, and I didn't realize it until I walked away. Overall, the trip was okay but there's a lot of room for improvement for this property. The grounds were pretty overall and nice to walk around but definitely in need of maintenance such as mulching..trimming, etc. I realize it's winter but people are still visiting.
