A very clean hotel. The staff was very pleasant and able to help us with anything we needed. The room was a good size. Overall a nice stay. We plan on returning on our next road trip to that area.

Stayed at the Hampton- McHenry for a baseball tournament. This was not a play to stay situation so we were able to choose this location on our own versus what was offered by the baseball team. The hotel was clean, comfortable. Our room was cleaned when we requested. Breakfast offered in the morning was ok. Better than recent offerings I’ve experienced in similar-level hotels. Would stay here again, if we return to the area.

I’ve stayed at many Hampton Inn’s over the years. This was my worst experience. Admittedly, it started out good. We were met with a very friendly hotel associate. She was accommodating and helpful. We were there for. Family reunion. We checked in on Friday afternoon and left the hotel on Saturday. While out at the family reunion all day Saturday (11:00 am - 11:00 pm) our room was never cleaned and towels were not replaced. I would usually reuse some hotel towels. But, these were very thin and it was necessary to get new ones. I was very surprised and not impressed when we got back very late. I went to the front desk and waited in line to request towels and shared with the clerk that our room was not cleaned and we needed clean towels. He didn’t apologize, or offer any reason, he just looked at me in a puzzled way and asked how many towels did we need. It was just very poor customer and behavior. I hope this is an anomaly.

Problems with King Bed

We stayed for 3 nights for Fouth Of July weekend! We were in a King bed handicapped room! My girlfriend didn’t sleep at all the first 2 nights! She is 100% disabled and the bed on the right side was sagging and it seemed the mattress or boxspring under the mattress was broken!

Really great experience! Happy with how easy it was to make & pay for the reservation before getting to the hotel. Checking in and out was quick, easy and friendly. Rooms were clean with nice details. Very happy with my stay here!
