We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights — 4 adults and 3 kids (all age 13) — specifically because this hotel had a nice pool. Unfortunately, the pool was shut down for 3 out of the 4 nights due to an incident. With so many kids and families staying that weekend, this was a big letdown — especially since we chose this hotel over one that offered free breakfast. The front desk staff, particularly Kimberly, was rude and unprofessional from the moment we arrived. She was short and dismissive, even in front of my family, which felt completely unnecessary. Overall, the stay was disappointing. Between the poor customer service and lack of access to the one amenity we booked for, I wouldn't recommend this property to others — especially those traveling with kids.

Air conditioning didn’t work in the hallway or elevator. Pool was closed and no reason was given. Ice machine on the 5th floor didn’t work. We asked to go outside by the pool to play a board game. The lady at the front desk said yes. 1/2 hr later we were forced to leave. The only thing positive was the restaurant food was pretty good and the waitress was very nice and helpful.

Building is older (circa early 1990's) and in need of a serious refresh. Paint is faded and walls are full of dings, scrapes, etc. Carpet is faded and worn in many areas. Room smelled musty, and A/C unit was pretty noisy. The room was reset for the next day, but they missed replenishing the coffee K-cups. Had to go downstairs to get a fresh cup. Breakfast area is bland, and the server we had wasn't all that great. She acted as though she'd rather be somewhere else. My wife's breakfast wasn't as advertised, but the server did a good job correcting it. She said menus are wrong, so Holiday Inn should update them! Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful.
