We arrived at 10:30 p.m., very late and later still because of the mountain time change, and the San Juan in was basically shut down. But they had made arrangements to provide the key and our room was fine and the people from the kitchen were very helpful the room was lovely the people staying there are cool and the view out the kitchen window is a wonderful cliff.

Great location by the San Juan River. Better than average motel rooms. Friendly service and interesting shop with jewellery, we bought some earrings!

Check in went smoothly. Inn keeper suggested the restaurant on site, and we decided to eat there after putting luggage in the room. The room has no dead bolt or slide lock, only the door knob lock. We went to the restaurant where our order was delivered to the wrong table. It sat there for 2 minutes until the waitress took it to the kitchen and apologized for the mistake. After approximately 10 more minutes our orders were brought to our table, but they were the same plates that had been taken to the kitchen 10 minutes before. They were cold and soggy as they had at this point been made 20 minutes prior and delivered to 2 tables. We did not eat there and told the waitress that we would dine elsewhere. After returning from the only other open restaurant in town. We found our TV would not come on. I went to call the front desk and the phone is not attached to the wall. I tried to call on my cell, and no one ever answered the desk phone. Ever. If you can possibly stay somewhere else, please do. Restaurant aside, the door did not feel safe. (You couldn’t even do the old chair under the doorknob trick, because it was too short. Couldn’t watch the news or use the room phone. Couldn’t contact the desk on my personal phone. Although the room was not expensive, we could have stayed at a Double Tree for less, and someone would be at the desk.

We loved our stay at San Juan Inn. The view was beautiful. An onsite cafe and the food was good. The rooms were older but, they were very clean. We would definitely stay again!

AVOID - Complete Check-in System Failure Left Me Stranded Called ahead to confirm late check-in - was told to call a number upon arrival Arrived to find NO cell phone service at the property Moved to find signal, called repeatedly for 30+ minutes Number only went to voicemail, no response whatsoever Completely stranded with no way to access the room I paid for Had to find emergency accommodation elsewhere at my own expense

Great place to stay if traveling through Utah to experience various National Parks. Conveniently located off the highway. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions. Comfortable beds, quiet, and clean. Would stay here again and will recommend to family and friends.

Great value and location

Nice clean motel for the price. Nice views. Restaurant seemed fine. At the time I was one of two tables there. I ordered the chicken quesadilla. It was a little different than what I’m used to. It was like crumbled chicken and not much cheese. But it was OK and the service was good.

The property is uniquely located next to the San Juan River. The rooms are a little older, but very clean. And the whole experience is staying there is very good. The staff is very friendly. There is a trading post and a diner at the location and the food was really good. There is access to the river and a small beach. It's like an oasis.

We liked that all rooms face the river. Our only complaint was the stairs - but we knew about that before we booked. It’s an older hotel - but very well kept. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Quiet area. The attached restaurant was very good. The burgers were great. Breakfast was very good. FREE COFFEE for guests! The staff we interacted with were wonderful. We’ll stay here again if we return to the area. We found out later that our brother/sister-in-law had stayed here in April. They loved it too! VERY CLOSE to Monument Valley.
