Great staff from the driver whom picked us up at the airport to the counter staff. Since it is close to the airport you hear the planes until about 11:30 PM at night then 6:00 am in the morning they start again. Breakfast was ok.

We stayed here for two nights before our cruise and we had a great stay. The staff was very accommodating, and the free breakfast alone is worth it. It is also very close to the airport. We would stay here again.

Should have stayed next door!

The main reason we picked this hotel was for the shuttle from the airport and to the cruise port. We called several times ahead of time and understood the simple process of getting a hold of the shuttle once we landed. We waited almost 2 hours with no shuttle. I called several times and was on hold many minutes each time. We finally went with an Uber driver for the 2 minute drive. Maybe it was just an off day, but it was a very discouraging start to our trip. The next morning, the sister hotel picked us up and took us to the port. I loved that they were working together for that part. Staff was very nice, breakfast was fine, the pool was cold (outdoors so can't really control that, I understand) but I could have stayed next door for much cheaper if I was going to have to figure out my own ride to the airport and have someone else help us get to the ship.

So my overall rating of average has to do with the help I received from the front counter at The Hampton Inn East Hotel at Miami Airport. The hotel is great but Expedia did not send them my reservation when I booked this hotel. The staff at the hotel told me I had to contact Expedia because they did not have my reservation. They offered little to no help after that. After traveling all day I stood at the counter for over an hour trying to rectify the situation. I soon realized the error was not their fault and understood what they were trying to tell me. It was very difficult trying to talk with someone from Expedia in an effort to rectify the situation. I had to virtual chat with Expedia for an hour as they were giving me different confirmation codes to give to the hotel staff. None of the codes worked because although Expedia took my money they never sent the reservation to the hotel. It was finally recommended by Expedia that I cancel the reservation and pay for the hotel as a new reservation. Although Expedia did refund the money I paid them for the reservation I wasted an hour of my time fixing the mistake they made.
