I had stayed at Hotel Ocean approximately 25 years ago, so was hopeful that it had retained it's charm, I was not disappointed. The room with king size bed was perfect, very comfortable, plenty of closet space. The bathroom was very spacious. They even have beach chairs and towels to pick up in the lobby, which I did. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Hope that it will not be another 25 years before I go back to this charming SoBe hotel.

We were here for just one night. It was a hopping place to be. Island vibe music started about 8:30 am (could hear in the room from outside). Party/dance vibe music at night. If you are looking for quiet, this is not the place. If you are looking for activity, lots of people watching, walkable access to the beach, and lots of food choices within walking distance this is your spot. The hotel provided towels and beach chairs and bottled water when we were ready to head to the beach. Bed was comfortable. Room was very clean. We were in the handicap accessible room, so the bathroom did not have a door (wide entry) and the shower was sort of "in the corner" but not totally closed off. It was fine for us. If you prefer total privacy when you are in the bathroom, you would not want this type of room. I would stay here again if we were in the area. No pool. But the beach was across the street and a short walk.

The room was clean and spacious. It was pretty, too. There was a bug in the bathroom but otherwise everything was good. The surrounding area felt safe and lots of things were walkable especially the beach, just a 5 minute walk.

Not very satisfied with stay

We had a family emergency and tried numerous times to call the hotel and sent a fax. We received no response from the hotel. When we finally made it to the hotel we found out the hotel was under construction and all of the phones were down in the hotel. This also meant if there was an issue in the room you could not call for assistance . Our tv did not work properly. The tissues in the bathroom were wet. Once we went downstairs the staff rectified what they could. The staff were a pleasure to deal with, but it was a very awkward stay. We paid alot of money for a hotel under construction and having this many issues
