Our overnight stay at the Hyatt Hotel by Miami Airport was extremely disappointing.
At check-in, Rashid at the front desk informed me of a parking fee, even though my Expedia reservation only stated “self-parking” without mentioning extra charges. When I questioned this, his response was dismissive and rude. He told me that if I didn’t like it, I could leave and he would refund my money. His attitude was unprofessional and set a very negative tone.
The room conditions were even worse. Upon entering, I was met with a strong mold-like odor. The carpet , walls and couch were heavily stained, and the air remained unpleasant despite ventilation. The room felt unsanitary and completely below the standards expected of a Hyatt property.
When I called the front desk to request a different room, I was told no options were available and was again encouraged to accept a refund and leave. To make matters worse, Rashid later called the room not to help, but seemingly to provoke another argument.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Between the poor customer service, hostile behavior at the front desk, and unacceptable room conditions, I cannot recommend this hotel and will not return.
