We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly. It is an older property therefore no air conditioning. We would not stay again in the heat and humidity of summer but different seasons would be ok.

This is a nice motel in the middle of nowhere in the UP. There is a small bar/grill next door, open only for supper, and that is the only amenity in the area. The room was cozy and clean and as good as you can expect for this price

Pleasant surprise

Spent the night on a travel trip between Houghton and Marquette after driving 9 hours. Easy access right on the highway. Surprisingly quiet.very nice owners on the premises that are a phone call away—if you need to call to check in late, just let them know 24 hours in advance. It’s a classic 1960 MOTEL that was remodeled about 10 years ago. It’s attractive and my son thought it was pretty neat. Newish bathroom set up and clean room. No AC but there are 2 big fans.

Excellent service from the staff/owners!! Understandably the heating source had been shut down for the summer. But, we had an unusually cold day/night upon our check-in. We asked about the heat and the owners turned the entire boiler system on as a result of us being cold in the room. Great service and a kind gesture!!

The facilities are very clean, and the owner is extremely friendly. A bit of a jaunt by bike to the nearest convenience store, but that's to be expected in such a quiet place. Highly recommend a visit for some good conversation and quiet evening.

This was a clean, cute little motel out in the middle of nowhere almost, which means nice and quite. The room was clean, beds comfy, and hot water was instant and plentiful. They even have a little breakfast nook with coffee and some simple breakfast items. The staff was super friendly. The only negative I might have is the parking area is gravel and dirt, and when it's wet out, you track that into the room super easily and it's hard to get off your feet with the small mat. As a result the dirt gets all over the floor, and when you go to bed your bare feet pick up that dirt and you have to be really careful about wiping it off your feet otherwise you end up with gravel/dirt in your bed. Otherwise, if you need a simple, comfortable, clean room at a good price, you can't get much better.

Great sleeping spot for snowmobiling!

Hotel is just as described! Simple "mom and pop" place, just what we wanted for a snowmobile trip. Super nice sisters - Sara and Mary - at the front desk. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and an assortment of juices, oatmeal and an assortment of packaged snacks for breakfast. Big jar of candy (take the Snickers bars for protein!) also! Bed was super comfortable, however, when either of us rolled over, the whole bed wiggled/shook, like their aren't individual coils. We parked sleds right in front of our room. Quiet at night. Bar/grill right next door, if you get in early. Such awesome snowmobile trails in this area!

We wanted to stay in Marquette, but because of some off roading event and fall colors weekend, we couldn’t find any place to stay in Marquette. Thankfully, 25 miles outside this motel was available. It’s located near three lakes. They are walkable from there. motel is tidy and clean. You can park the car at the front door. Sara and her sister, they both are super friendly. They text and check if you are doing a late check in. Overall a good experience.
