Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Brandywine River hotel the room was very clean. Not the most modern, but it definitely felt warm and cozy. The hotel match the atmosphere and the ambience of the location. The staff was great and very hospitable. You’re so sweet Café in front scone are to die for. Also, Brandywine Prime is located right in front great appetizers atmosphere and local chatter. I will be coming back again to stay here. This is perfect for a weekend rinse of city life.

We were going to Longwood Gardens which was 4 miles south of the property.The hotel was clean. There was a staff member at the desk. We only stayed for 2 nights. Put the maid service sign out on 2nd day. It was a no show. The continental breakfeast was good. There were 3 excellent restaurants nearby. They have this digital key system with room of which they text and email your code the day before your stay. The code showed me checked out the second day. Fortunately the desk clerk gave me a card at check in. I would stay there again. Communication between the staff and guests could have been better.

The Barns area and shops next door to the hotel were delightful. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Brandywine River Museum 3 minutes away. Wonderful. Various sites, from historic houses and gardens to the famous Longwood Gardens to Kennett Square all within 15 to 20 minute radius. Hotel rooms were very comfortable. Considering that breakfast was included in the price of the stay it was a typical "chain" buffet, but in a lovely sun-filled room. Only complaint had to do with the rugs on the floor of the hotel rooms. Too susceptible to being tripped over. There were two of them. I simply rolled them up and put them in a corner. Overall, excellent value.
