We stayed at La Quinta during our time in Myrtle Beach as a part of our family road trip. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, the hot breakfast options, and being able to bring our dog along for the stay!

Room was clean, however there was a sewer smell my husband and I smelled the entire time. We stayed 3 nights. The room did not include cable tv or hair dryers in the bathroom. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the beach so we were able to walk there which was very convenient.

Had a old smell as soon as i entered the building. Dirty wet wash cloth on bathroom counter,. The day of checkout after eating breakfast downstairs i reentered the room to gather my belongings and a roach fell from the top of the door when i opened it almost right on top of my head. I told the lady at the front desk and she ask me was it big or small, then wrote it down and said she would let the manager know that was it

Breakfast was fine. Entirety of hotel stay was excellent, except for the beds. The mattress was "sunk in" due to all the previous clients sleeping on them. Time to change the mattresses, at least mine. :) Or buy a different quality of mattress that lasts longer. All in all it was a good stay!

Front desk was cool, the rooms were ok definitely ok for short stays maybe not long ones tho, rooms felt very humid but the ac kinda helped, cleanliness was also ok def not the cleanest hotel. But as far as location it was actually really good because the beach was close by, stores and food was close as well very convenient as far as location wise.

The staff were pleasant and at first glance it looked clean and maintained. Once we got off the elevator, I noticed that almost all of the doors had peeling paint. We did not go to the ocean while we were there yet there was sand piled in the corners of the bathroom floor. Had it been wiped clean and such, yes. Was it as clean as it should have been, I didn’t think so. The room was very spacious and they do allow pets! They also do not have a seated area for smokers. So if you go out, you just have to stand on the side walk.
