My second stay here and it's in a great location, especially to the beach and plenty of resturants. I booked the wrong room type, but Teteyanna came to the rescue. I'm appreciative of her service because it was my fault. Overall, everything was good. Breakfast is not the best, especially for adults. The pillowtop. mattress was comfortable, but the pillows are flat. The bathroom was very nice, but the soap holder needs attention. There's a smart TV in the room, but the only two apps are YouTube and Netflix. It shows Chromecast, but it doesn't work. There aren't a lot of good channels on the regular cable, but if you're not there to watch TV, then it won't be a big deal. For the price and location, it's worth the stay.

It was only a five minute walk to the beach and close to any restaurant or shopping you want to go to. The place was clean and quiet. Good place for a great price

The lady who checked us in was very kind and a pleasure to talk to. Our room was clean and odorless. The limited Dish channels on the TV was a bit of a bummer when he relaxed after a full day of activities, but we didn't select this hotel for the TV service. Wireless service was easy to log into and was speedy enough.

The staff at checkin was professional and friendly. The facility was older but it has been adequately maintained. My wife and I had two complaints. The breakfast met the absolute minimum standards required by the Laquinta. No meat was offered. Only grits, waffles, yogurt, packets of oatmeal and apples were the only breakfast items offered. The second complaint was my credit card was charged an additional $11.30 at 11:00pm on my first night of stay. I wouldn’t have known of the charge had it not come immediately to my phone. The next morning I asked the receptionist of the charge. Her first of three different responses was it was a charge for incidentals. Once she couldn’t explain the incident that I was being pre charged she then said that it was a company policy. When I explained to her that this charge has never occurred at any of our Laquinta stays, she finally stated that it was the owners personal policy. I expressed my discontent and informed her that this charge (although small) would be disputed. A couple hours at checkout, she told me that the fees were refunded. Although I was happy to has been refunded the charge, I never should have been charged these frivolous fee. Had I not been proactive these charges would have been assessed. Just think how many patrons are taken by THIS PARTICULAR Laquinta’s egregious practice.
