House keeping was a joke! Dirty pools!

Hotel was very nice, everyone was great abd friendly! Pools were dirty and not heated! Parking garage was poorly lite and the top floor had no lights at all very un safe! Had to call front desk eveeyday for clean towels and most days never received wash rags, the only day they did come in and give clean towels they placed them on the dirty bathroom floor!!!! Stacked trash in hallways!! House keeping was a joke!!!!!! Will not go back to this hotel for the price i spent!!!!!

I’ve stayed here several times because of the on site entertainment. This property would get 5 stars if it would ensure the condo owners maintain the rooms. I refuse to spend another dime for these old run down accommodation's that get worse each visit. After spending $459 for 2 nights in room 221 the roaches in the kitchen this trip was the deal breaker. Will not be returning.

The stay at the Sands Ocean Club Resort was alright. Although there was some issues that needs to be addressed such as the pocorn ceiling was falling down on us during our stay there. The toilet was leaking and the shower was broken. I made a complaint to the front desk and nothing was done about the situation.

Property had a lot to offer but the staff was rude, I had to give the desk my license to use a luggage cart and when I returned it she had accidentally given my ID to someone else. Elevators are very noisy , walls are thin, you hear everything in the room next door. I had to ask for clean towels even though the sign says they would be replaced. Room had a decent view , had restaurant and bar on site . Cheap enough but then you get what you pay for

Great place to stay!

Love this hotel... You're at Myrtle Beach but with none of the crowd. Never have to leave the resort if you don't want to. I do have one complaint. I checked out today everyone was nice during our stay, Chris the bellhop was great. The black woman this morning shift with the very friendly bald man was very very rude for no reason. She come very close to getting told how rude she was. If you don't like your job leave!! Other than her perfect trip as always!!!

NOT at all as advertised! Extremely outdated!!! Dirty floors, hair in bathroom and on sink. The bathroom smelled like urine. The ONLY good thing about our room was the view of the water. Elevator was dirty and smelled awful! I would never choose to stay here again!

Will never go back.

The listing advertised to be family friendly as well as our room having ocean views. we were facing the parking garage which echoed every sound the drunken bar patrons made until after 2am. Sands Ocean Hotel declined to correct the room situation stating hotels.com was at fault. The room did not appear to have been cleaned recently. The bedsheets in 2nd bedroom were obviously dirty. And the structure itself is very dated and poorly maintained. The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools of which we were unable to use. They were filled w drunken men and women. At one point during a rainy day we tried to take our 4 yr old granddaughter to swim in the indoor pool to find dozens of adults in the pool participating in adult activities. Don’t get me wrong people should be able to drink and enjoy their vacations. But the property should not be promoted as family friendly. This was strictly a party place fpr golfers and senior citizen. This was definitely not the vacation we wanted for our family.

The staff were polite and eager to help. The beach was maybe a 100ft walk from the property, with fences connecting the back “porch”/bar area. It was overall clea. It was a pleasant stay and I would stay here again. Cons: the room was hot, like the a/c unit was working overtime almost. The room did not have many outlets for plug ins.

Check in was lousy, it took 25 minutes. Six other people who were behind me in line checked in while the girl who was more interested in her text messages got around to me. She neglected to tell me I was in the tower building. My last stay at Sands!!
