My partner and I took a 5 day, long weekend stay at the Surf Side Hotel at the beginning of March this year, not having been to the Outer Banks in about 10 years. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, from front desk to bed sheets. We had a dune side, beach view balcony with a great view of the ocean. Breakfast was easily the tastiest and well-rounded selection of free hotel breakfast you could ever get, and I have stayed in a lot of hotels. I assure you this place makes it worth your while! Checkout was easy and fast, Kay made sure that we were taken care of. My only complaint that I wish I had mentioned at check out was the condition of the hot tub-- I won't say much other than it should definitely be cleaned more often than it is right now. Really close to Roanoke island, home of the Elizabethan Gardens, Jockey's Ridge State Park and Jeanette's Pier. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Best hotel my family has stayed at in the last ten years. Indoor and outdoor pool, both clean. All staff were just super nice. Every question had a quick valid response. The breakfast in first class with a serving line and the amount of warm options. Rooms are phenomenal, we had the loft. Could see both side of the island from our view

My new Outer Banks place to stay!

From the moment we checked in, everything was beyond out expectations. From the little extras such as wine and cheese, or chocolate chip cookies…to the yummy breakfast, everything was perfect. Our room was very clean, spacious, and the balconies were better than we could have imagined.

The beach at its best.

Wonderful. Beds are a little hard but everything else made it worth it. Saw whales and dolphins from our room. Breakfast was the best. Good shelling and a piece of sea glass right outside our room. Who could ask for more.

We stayed in a King oceanfront room that was very well furnished and beautifully decorated! The view was gorgeous and the complimentary breakfast was delicious-an added value! Loved the fresh cookies at 8pm each night. Hot tub and indoor pool were also very nice and added to our stay. I would stay here again and highly recommend!
