From the moment we walked in the front door, there was a musty smell. The look and feel of the place is old and dingy. There has clearly been water damage on the ceilings. The smell in the hallway on the first floor going towards the rooms was very musty. The moldy/musty smell continued in the room. There was mold in the bathroom and it had a strong odor of bleach, not in a good way. This place needs a total overhaul.

I booked a king suite with a pull out sofa that was supposed to sleep FOUR people. The pull out bed had no mattress so when I called to ask about it they said this room didn’t have one due to a previous guest, there were no comparable rooms, and offered me a twin roll away bed. The mattress on the roll away was absolutely disgusting. When bringing it to the manager Ellen’s attention the next morning she was very dismissive and combative with me. I want a refund for my horrible stay! Thank goodness I had family close by since I was coming from out of state, that had an air mattress I could use. Horrible customer service.

The check in staff were the nicest and most efficient we have seen in a long time. The morning coffee and breakfast selection was very good. We favorably commented on the coffee in the lobby as we had just stayed in a much more expensive hotel that when we asked about coffee they directed us to the on site Starbucks- how sad to have to pay a large rate, fees, and taxes only to be told to go buy your own cup of coffee in the morning!

It was just ok. Check in was good and they switched our room to a walk in shower which was most appreciated. The breakfast needs help. The room could have been a bit cleaner. It was quiet and served it's purpose.

They had only 1 non-smoking king bed room on the first floor. When I opened the curtains, there were 2 large power plant trucks parked horizontally (grill to grill) right in front of my window completely blocking my view of the outside and too close to my window for comfort. They were there in the afternoon when we got there and still there the next day when we checked out.

I booked a 3 night stay through hotels.com but once I arrived to check in i was told that they didn't rent to locals! Was not aware of this and i had stayed there previously and was a local then! I was told that he would try to get the reservation canceled without a charge, there shouldn't be a charge when i wasn't wanting to cancel! It was poor customer service!

Just what we needed

It was just what we needed to rest from our road trip. Comfy bed, great shower pressure, loved that they use Dove products for us to use, and the breakfast was a simple yet tasty bonus in the morning.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The common areas and rooms are in good shape but the bathroom was mildew-y and a little dirty. The breakfast was minimal.
