The bed was made with just one sheet between the mattress protector and the duvet insert. i slept on top of the covers because i was not confident that the duvet was washed each time. i have stayed in hotels that only have a fitted sheet and a proper duvet -cover- which encases the duvet insert. this was not the case.

Nice hotel with very modern amenities which take a while to get used. Also, the number of mirrors took some getting used to. The room was very functional and the location was great. Also the breakfast was awesome. Unlike some other tall skinny hotels in the area, the elevators were efficient. The only small problem was the keys they first gave us did not work.

The location was excellent, cleanliness was good! But the bed was terrible, and the worst part was that I have back problems, so I had to take the stairs from the 6th to the 9th floor because they only use the elevators at 10 a.m. just to get down. And not to go up, they should notify the client upon arrival at the hotel and then take other alternatives

Awesome lodging away from the madness of Times Square but close enough to the magic. Modern amenities, well-appointed rooms, beautiful bath, dreamy beds and wonderful staff. Subway is steps away, with plenty of options close by for late-night eateries, bars, snacks, pizza slices(!) and sundries (not to mention Target on 42nd Street). Do NOT miss Dear Irving rooftop IN the hotel... stunning views! Elevators will test your patience, but otherwise, worth those lofty NYC hotel prices. We are happy with Aliz!

Would not recommend. The room was clean and the location central, but that's the only good thing I can say. The elevators were always full. At one point we waited for more than 10 minutes for an elevator. They have 3, but only 2 are used for guests. There was only 1 ice machine in the entire hotel, located in the basement! The A/C ran constantly regardless of room temp and when I turned it off, I became congested and started sneezing. The "rooftop terrace" with a view was a nightclub inaccessible to guests and people younger than 21. The "warm welcome" was a crowded icebox of a lobby. Also, at some point before we arrived our reservation was cancelled by either hotels.com, expedia or the hotel. I didn't get an email that it was cancelled until AFTER we arrived at hotel. Also, I booked with hotels.com NOT expedia, but I guess they outsourced my reservation.
