While the room and view was stunning, the entrance was weird (especially if you’re traveling on your own), getting to the room awkward, and the front attendant creepy. This hotel sits atop a commercial building, so you need to go through that to a separate elevator at the top and then through a side entrance to the rooms, which didn’t feel very safe or secure.

Overall, the room (2 double beds and a sofa bed) was big enough for 3 adults to be comfortable. The hotel was near an excellent famous park (Bryant), near MTA bus/trains, many restaurants, and broadway shows. There was a free grab-and-go/breakfast area so one does not have to worry about in between big meals. We were given extra bedsheets for the sofabed. This hotel is highly recommended if one wants to visit NYC and needs a place to sleep comfortably.

We stayed in a Queen Room and it was quite spacious for the location. We loved that we could walk everywhere but also had access to public transportation when needed. City Club was in a fantastic location. It was close to metro stops and within walking distance of Times Square, Bryant Park/the NYC Public Library, Broadway theaters, and many places to eat. The property is a definitely worn but clean. We were two adults and two teens (17 and 16) and had plenty of room with two doubles and a sofa (we brought a twin blow up mattress that fit in the room too). The room was outdated with peeling wallpaper and stains but the bathroom was fully modern with nice toiletries for use. The room and bathroom were clean. Our teens thought it was funny to find the hidden bathroom, closet and minibar behind art or mirrors. The breakfast was continental. It was convenient to store our luggage with the concierge on our check out day until 4pm so we could enjoy more sites. We would definitely stay again.
