Great location, but the rooms need remodeling!

The staff and location and my view and the size of my room were excellent. But this hotel is NOT a 4 star anymore. I've stayed there 3 times now and the rooms (and the furniture in them,) and elevators are completely worn down and need remodeling!

Not perfect but worth the $

You can not beat the location. Check in and check out was painless and easy and efficient. Only 3 of the 5 elevators were working. The key card would often not work in the elevator. The card reading system needs to be updated. You have to hold the door open until the elevator recognizes your card. The room are dated. And the bathtub needs a good scrubbing to remove the dirty feet marks, but the housekeepers were friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable. And I slept well.

The room was hot, we called the front desk they sent someone up twice. He disconnected the heat, and said it will cool off. I asked why the fan was not working he check again and the. Said someone would call us. No one called. I called back hours later and the person at the front desk told me that the ac was shut off for the whole building due to the time of year. I then asked why the fan was not working, he said idk and asked if we wanted a floor fan. I asked for a different room which was not available. We were there for four more days and no one ever came back to look at it or asked how we were doing. Just poor customer service. The location was good. Being close to everything around Times Square and broadway was amazing.

Be warned!!!!! This property has NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!! Also , the elevators don’t work properly. We waited over 10 minutes each time we wanted to use the elevator. The room was so hot we couldn’t sleep. I requested a fan 4 times and never received one, they told me no fans were available, but they were even using one at the front desk!! After I spoke with a manager, a fan arrived 20 minutes later. The fan helped very little. It’s crazy that in 2025 and in Times Square there are hotels without AC!!! I wouldn’t stay here again and would highly recommend looking elsewhere for any future people thinking of using this place. The location is nice but the hotel is not.
