Misleading and Uncomfortable – Filing an Insurance Claim This campsite was advertised as a serene retreat by a beautiful river, but it was a disappointing letdown. The cabins sit by a mucky pond behind a hotel parking lot, surrounded by litter and debris in the so called 'campground'. A strong chemical odor inside made it hard to breathe, even after airing out. Other guests were leaving, equally let down by the false advertising. I had to check out shortly after arriving to find another place. I’m filing an insurance claim with photos of the unkempt area. Look elsewhere for a peaceful stay—this isn’t it.

The grounds around the cabin and private pond had trash all over. The caban was clean. Ceiling fan was broken. Complimentary was underwhelming and not enough seating available.

We really loved the individual cabins. The only thing that brought the rating down was the area around the pond kind of needed picked up, but that could be a challenge with wind blowing trash in from the surrounding areas. Cabins were nice, breakfast nice, staff friendly. We would not hesitate to stay again!

Not exactly on the river

I thought from the picture we would be on the S Platte river but the cabins were near a little pond with benches and mowed up to the edge. It was nice & relaxing, away from the main hotel.
