We have been to this hotel more than 10 times. Unfortunately it seems on the decline. Regarding our room it was extremely difficult to get hot water in the shower. all else about our room was OK for the price. Complained about the pool being dirty and nobody came to clean. Not only bugs and leaves floating in the water. The water also had an ugly film. Back to the pool our second day which was Thursday and also the pool area was clean but the water was not in the greatest shape. Very disappointing.

What a fantastic mini vacation thanks to this resort! We felt like we had the place to ourselves. From our warm welcome upon arrival to our departure, the staff here are awesome. Our room was so big, vaulted ceilings, 2 little decks with sliders. We had a 2 person jaccuzi tub and a gas fireplace as well. The bed was so comfortable too. We loved the amenities and used the Roman Spa, pool and ice machine. The resort was close to all the best restaurants and sites. Honestly could not have asked for anything more. Other reviewers do say that the resort is tired and needs updating. I agree that there is some peeling wallpaper, antique furniture and very low water pressure. But how much charm there was! I cannot wait to come back to the Meadowmere.

The amenities and location make this resort worth it. It is walkable to downtown and the size of both jacuzzis are enough for many people when it gets busy. We enjoyed the doubles room which was adjacent to the hot tub and spa. The fitness center is incredibly large and also another great perk as the hot days of summer start it’s nice to have an alternative. We will definitely return when we are back in the area.

The hot tubs were wonderful after walking around the Marginal Way. The staff were kind and helpful. Our only issue was the lack of towels at the pool. Other guests took more pool towels than they needed as I saw piles of pool towels on their chairs. The landscaping is immaculate and the flowers and plants are in great shape and well maintained. The free tea and coffee were great! The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Unless you’re on the top floor, expect to hear everything — footsteps, voices, even people breathing above you. I was in Room 101 and woke up daily at 6:30 AM from front desk and stairwell noise. Housekeeping never cleaned my room despite the sign. When someone finally came, she opened the door without knocking while I was naked, then acted like it was my fault. Water barely got warm. Front desk was polite and location is walkable with free parking — but none of that makes up for how bad the experience was. Would not stay here again.

Worth the trip

The staff at check in/out were helpful and friendly. The complimentary champagne at check in was a nice added bonus. Every place was clean and comfortable- suite, pool/hot tub, pub, etc. Walking distance to all of the Main Street shops and restaurants. Will definitely go back again,

Beautiful and peaceful property!!

Quick overnight with my boyfriend. The room was clean and comfortable. Upstairs neighbors were extremely loud but staff did best they could! Glass of welcome champagne was a nice surprise. The property grounds are beautiful and peaceful to walk around. I highly suggest Johnathan’s for food next door, dine in or call in an order. I’m still dreaming of my dinner. We will most certainly be back, thank you for a lovely stay.
