Great Location and quiet rooms!

I decided to do an overnight in Ogunquit, and Colonial Inn was recommended. Wasn't sure what I'd be getting but I was pleasantly surprised! The room in the main building was very quiet and spacious. Great, clean, roomy modern bathroom. This Inn is in a perfect location - everything is walkable! And I love the "campus" feel of the property - I had a friend staying in another building and it was nice to walk through the grounds to get to their room. Highly recommend.

Peaceful couple of days

Visiting Ogunquit in April can be chilly or just right. Our stay at The Colonial Inn was just right. Quiet with a comfy bed and adequate continental breakfast. The only issues we had were the elevator not working and we were on the top floor, and no additional beverages available on site except coffee, tea and alcoholic beverages. We survived and relaxed.

Location is unbeatable, hotel rooms are cute, clean, and the staff is helpful and kind. Free breakfast, free parking, walkable. I went during the fall and enjoyed the fire pit, fall foliage. And Halloween decorations. Such a lively place that will fill your heart with joy — perfect fall getaway!

The location can't be beat. Park your car and walk everywhere in Ogunquit. The continental breakfast was excellent! We were on the first level of the annexed building. The people above us were very loud. I asked to be moved but they were unable to move us. We will try this location again and hope for a quieter room.

Main inn was not very quiet

Interesting experience staying in an old historic building like this, but I don’t think I’d stay here again. We stayed in the main inn on the 3rd floor, and we could hear every step our neighbors above and adjacent to us made. I had requested a top floor room when I made the booking 6 months in advance, and called a few weeks before to ask again, but was immediately told it just depends on what’s available at check in. The floors are creaky and slanted, which adds to the charm, but doesn’t make for a restful, quiet evening. Ultimately, if you want the experience, this is a solid choice, but if you want a quiet room, I’d look elsewhere.
