I would say it was average nothing wrong, but the flooor was sandy when i took my shoes of so noone has vacuumed or mopped it in a while. The front desk area smelled real clean and fresh. They have a small pool and there was coffee in the lobby. But no ice in the ice machine. Therr weren't many choices to stay in the area as it is a small town

Clean room lacking basic essentials.

While bare bones and dated, the rooms were clean and beds adequate, which is expected at this price point. However, at 530 in the morning, there was no hot water in the room, the hairdryer was broke, the in-room fridge didn't keep anything cool the outlet behind one of the beds was overloaded (lights plugged in there flickered until we moved them to another circuit) and there was no ice in the icemaker outside in the breeze way. Outside of the hairdryer, all these items should be expected to function properly, even in a basic rate motel. The staff we interacted with and made our complaints to were all friendly, but lacked the ability to do anything about the problems. We are waiting for the manager to call back, but my hopes are low of being compensated for the inconveince.

The staff are very kind and helpful. Plus the area is conveniently located to some very interesting locations such as the flea market right across the street, Manatee Springs and Clay Landing just a little ride down the road and Fanning Springs is the next town over. ABC Pizza, the restaurant a couple doors down, has wonderful food and service. The hotels pool looks very clean and inviting. Another positive is that the included breakfast we chose was the yummy make your own waffles. There’s other typical cold breakfast offerings also such as milks, cereals, fruits, breads, bagels and mini muffins. The part I feel is in need of improvement is the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. The overwhelming mold/musty smell was present at all times while in our room, the bed had a ball of hair between the sheets, the floors were so dirty that when I sat on the bed’s edge and took my socks and shoes off to shower by the time I reached the bathroom my feet were so filthy from the floor that the bath mat had a complete black footprint on it when I went to step into the shower.
