While the staff were very friendly, we felt overall it was a let down for the Hilton. We were unaware at time of booking that the room we booked and paid significant money for would not be the one advertised in the photos e.g ground level , no bathtub instead a very dated and somewhat dirty shower and shower curtain. Further more we received towels on the second day with holes in them…the hairdryer didn’t work and sounded as though it was about to blow up at any point and our bed sheets over the two days - at check in and even after a cleaning service had dirty stains on them. We also dined at the restaurant on our first evening and waited 40 minutes after ordering or drinks to receive them..the food itself was lovely and can’t fault that at all. As it was booked for a birthday getaway we just felt a little let down by the experience at a renowned chain and for the money we paid.
