This property is located on the tranquil Rock River in Oregon, Illinois and is perfect for a couple or family to get away. Enjoy fishing from the large deck or while out on the water with your boat. There is a boat ramp available only one mile away in town and at Castle Rock. One hundred feet of river frontage at the house for convenient docking and ease of use. The barbecue will come in handy when you want to keep an eye on your fishing pole while preparing a delicious meal. There are two bedrooms with two beds each. The master bedroom has two new queen beds. They are supremely comfortable so that you will sleep like a baby! The second bedroom has two twin beds and there's a hide-a-bed in the living room for larger get-togethers. The kitchen is fully stocked with a large table for your group to gather at. The living room has two full couches and entertainment center. Views of the river are also enjoyed from the sunroom and kitchen. Our friendly neighbors might give you a wave. Explore nature on any of the hiking trails of the surrounding three state parks. You'll find many activities to interest you such as horseback riding, dinner cruises, golf, and swimming at nearby lakes! Ask us where to find the bald eagle's nest! Great location. Plenty of parking. Right on the Rock River. Very clean. Lots of outside seating on the decks. Lots of towels, though we couldn’t find them at first. They were in the dining room credenza. The house is pretty well stocked with supplies. The host is very friendly and responsive. Would stay there again.

we had such a peaceful weekend getaway here! the river views were absolutely stunning — seriously one of the best parts of the stay. the house itself was clean, cozy, and well-stocked, with everything we needed to relax. communication with the owner was super fast and smooth, which made the whole experience stress-free.the only heads up is that since it’s right by the river, there were quite a few mayflies around in the evenings — but that’s just nature being nature! we stayed inside after sundown, played board games, and had a great time anyway. during the day, we bbq’d and enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space.would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great 6 day stay at this property on the Rock River. Hosts were always available for questions and the location and home were very well kept. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a riverfront property location on your visit to the area. Drive to both Dixon and Oregon were short and manageable for any necessities.

This property is a hidden treasure! The inside is very well kept and was exceptionally clean. There is plenty of room to spread out and the sunroom is spectacular. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and even though neighbors had parties, the noise level was only audible when we were outside. The kitchens stocked with pots, pans and dishes! We enjoyed being right by the river. We watched the bald eagles right across the river, saw a deer swim across the river and a red-headed piliated woodpecker for the first time ever. It was serene and lovely to spend time there. Tanzie was great a communicating before the trip as well as during the trip. She is a gem and really great host. Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time to spend there! If you want a quiet place to spend time,with the convenience of town a few minutes away, book now!

Arrived early and we were told to go ahead and go in. We had a great time and it was very relaxing. The 3 decks on the river were great. There’s a few boards on the bottom deck that could probably use some work but we weren’t disappointed in the stay. We forgot some food in the refrigerator and texted Tanzie about it and she was very nice about it. Would stay there again if we were in the area.

The Rock River Hideaway was a great river house to stay in for our 35th anniversary. Clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we had bad weather and it was hard to enjoy the deck and river watch. Town is very close for supplies. Everything was great. Host was very responsive via text.

Hit the spot for our couples getaway

We (2 person couple) really enjoyed this cabin. We fished from the deck and did have some luck. Beautiful scenic and quiet location. The near by towns had need shops and cafes. Check in was very easy and all questions were answered quickly. The 'bugs' come and go with the current (as is waterfront life). Beds were cozy and the cabin was clean. We are keeping this place on our list for the future!
