This property's rooms are dated. The staff is not accommodating or friendly. We had to change rooms because of an awful smell and they were not apologetic nor did they offer us anything for our inconvenience. They in fact gave us a downgrade. Lol They have a severe ant problem in the pool cabanas. And the ACs in the room you could set to 62 degrees but the temp realistically was about 76 the whole time. Spend some .money and make the necessary upgrades.

We travelled as a party of 4, 3 adults plus 18 month old. We stayed on the first floor, which is actually the second floor, ground level in the wing facing the golf course. It was a slight walk to the elevators and pool, facilities, but nothing unreasonable. Rooms were nice, although ours got warm during day as AC could not keep up. Closed curtains solution. Pools were FANTASTIC, especially the family pool with zero entry. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Prices at pool bar a bit high for the location, beers being $8-10+ and restaurant prices also high. Loved room service pizza, when available. We ate breakfast at their buffet twice, but at $30 per person, agree with other comments it was overpriced given the limited selection. They had about 5 on site restaurants, but only 2 were ever open, the hamburger joint and the Mexican. Hamburger was decent, but prices high. The Mexican was B.A.R.F. We felt like they served us salt licks as there was so much sodium on everything and the quality was a joke. I would highly recommend you NOT eat at the Mexican restaurant and if the only one open, go off site or order room service. Would we go back? Yes, but only if they had lower pricing on food/amenities. The room rate for us was $1700 for 6 nights, 2 rooms, so 12 room nights or $142 per room per night. It was a fantastic resort with great pool, beautiful grounds, clean, safe, so the rooms were worth it....if we stayed again, we'd eat out more or just get the room service pizza.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! The Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando is nothing short of breathtaking. everything was pretty great, until they decided they wanted to run their fire alarm for 30 minutes , knocking on our doors, saying it was a test, and they had to run the entire alarm of the hotel not floor by floor, and they had no remorse, because they knew they could get away with it. This hotel is also listed as 4.5 stars on hotwire, while the hotel itself only calls itself 4 stars, so dishonest by you guys.
