Only two problems: Towels in room didn’t have a good smell and a fresh scent. Secondly, the pool wasn’t warm enough to swim, I decided to skip swimming and hit the jacuzzi instead; even that one wasn’t hot enough. Other than that, great service and friendly staff.

As a disabled senior travelling alone, I was disappointed in the safety and security of the hotel. The elevators should be updated to include card swipe to eliminate random people wandering the guest floors.

Best Hotel in Ottawa!

Went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and from check in until check out, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we not only had everything we needed, but enjoyed our stay! The valet staff were lovely and efficient, the restaurant, 41, staff were great and our room was absolutely beautiful with amazing views out all the windows! The front desk staff also celebrated my daughter’s birthday and made sure it was her best one yet!!! This was one of three best hotel stays we’ve had anywhere in a very long time!

Grand old hotel right in the heart of Ottawa. Feels a little tired though and could use an update to some of the finishes. Towels could also be more luxurious or just plain bigger. Bar forty one could use more staff as we waited an overly long time for food service. Overall a comfortable stay but the grand old hotel is looking its age.

There are a lot of great things about this property. The location can't be beat for proximity to downtown sites. The building itself is beautiful and our double queen/park view room was a great size. The staff were very attentive and the service was efficient. There are nearby parking options if you prefer to self park. The room itself was nice, but nothing special. Great value for money in my opinion!
