Black Bear Manor is the best place I have ever stayed. The room (Room 6) is their best room, and has a jacuzzi and steam shower, which I utilized multiple times. Also, home cooked meals every morning, and they will actually sit down with you and talk to you (if you want, of course) When you come to Ouray, you have two great options for Lodging: 1) Black Bear Manor 2) Black Bear Manor in a fancy accent.

Thank you for a beautiful room and stay. Laura was an exceptional hostess; kind, friendly, accommodating and full of knowledge about the happenings of Ouray!! Room #6 was wonderfully furnished. It had a large-upgraded tv, electric fireplace, a large 2 person tub, a patio and other fin things.

We found out we were in the smallest room there. We had no idea. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room and it was so very quaint! We had a choice of a home cooked meal, a vegie omelet. It was delish! Laura, the chief came out to ask us if we needed anything and then sat down an chatted with us. She a kind person. Made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

The rooms are spotless and charming, the location is perfect, and the onsite hosts Laura and Elizabeth are so warm, welcoming, and kind we've come to call them friends. Black Bear Manor was an excellent choice for our short getaway. We could only stay for one day, but we would have loved to base camp from this place for several days. It is conveniently located near everything in Ouray, as well as all the wonderful outdoor activities. When you come, please don't miss Box Canyon Falls, a city park located within minutes of Black Bear Manor.
