I sent the following 2 times with no reply from management… I also went to the front desk with my concerns when each occurred…and was told “we sell snacks right over there…and there is a laundry facility 2 miles down the road…a gym and sauna can be accessed free of charge in Newport (miles away from Lincoln City)….and we always ask if guests need special accommodations! (We didn’t need SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS! we just needed an elevator! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “My friend and I just spent 6 nights. We stayed from July 18th - 24th. We stayed in room 533. While there, we could never access wi-fi from our room, the laundry room was closed the entire time, the snack machine was out of order during our entire stay, the ice machine went down. We could not access the Sauna or Gym rooms. To top it off, the elevators went down for a large portion of our stay on two (2) different occasions! We are in our 60’s and having to climb up and down the stairs to and from the 5th floor was ridiculous. Especially when we had grocieries, pop, etc…to try to carry up. We paid a lot of money to stay at your facility and I honestly believe we deserve a discounted rate of atleast 30% of what we paid and should be credited back to my card. While the room was great….the inconveniences really took its toll on us old women. Thank you, Paula

Balcony view of the ocean. Whales a little south but could see them. Recommend binoculars, great spot for kids to play. Game room, pool, adults only hot tub area. No kids allowed from 9pm to 11pm pool/hot tub. Kinda new process. Pillow was better than the one I bought. Staff was great and friendly. 4 towels would be nice. Had to get an extra for the shower. It’s hard not to get the floor all wet. But it’s a walk in. Definitely would stay again. WiFi is weak where we were.. took a minute for Roku

Beds were quite different, but everything clean and updated in an older building. Easy to get around, excellent signs to get to the beach. Very friendly and professional staff. Limited snacks and drinks in lobby, restaurant on site. Beautiful view, was there mid-week so not too many people, beach felt safe and was simply gorgeous. Pool and hot tub were alright. They should really poor their money into that funky building. I’d definitely stay here again, curious to their off peak season pricing.
There’s tiny treasures out there.

Eh, it’s okay.

The rooms are not as advertised in the pictures in my experience. Very basic motel like room, thin walls, and noisy beds. There’s hardwood floors but no rugs, and very limited seating as we were only provided one chair. The view was great from the balcony and it was pretty clean though.

Old and worn

The room looked and felt sparce. The shower was old and difficult for older people to get into safely. We are 75 and 77. The keys to the room were actually metal keys, not cards. Everything about the office seemed old and worn. The ocean view was wonderful, but we won't be going to Surftides again unfortunately. The restaurant next to the hotel had good food but the service was so slow!

The ocean view with a balcony is why we booked this hotel. The view was great, we even watched whales go by. The hotel itself has seen better days. It was clean but needs some updating. There are no USB outlets and the toilets are so low to the ground it is almost comical --- except I am scheduled for a knee replacement and these toddler sized squatty potties were a painful challenge. So no laughs there. The pool and hot tub need some attention. But the beach is great.
