Upon arrival they had no record of our reservation. I showed them the nice email they sent several days ago, welcoming us and getting ready for our visit. The lady at the checkin counter just said, “Oh, that’s from Expedia, not us, they just make it look like the resort emailed it.” No King room available to us unless we wanted the only one that was available, up 20 steps. So we took the room they offered with two double beds on the main floor. Terrible! And the room was dirty too.

Pleasant stay. First-rate staff members. Wonderful room at the lodge. Excellent meals at their restaurant. Quiet and non-touristy. So nice not to be stuck in lines of traffic. The lake view was beautiful, and the entire area was safe and fun. I am not a fisherman or boater, so I look for walks and sites. Drivable to churches and shopping areas. The area in the Land Between the Lakes is nice to drive and stop to see the sites like the old homestead, Nature Station and Fort Donaldson (only an hour's drive) Hope you spot a bison!!
