Welcome to Ocean Reef 1601

Our condo is a four bedroom 3 bath beach residence that sleeps up to 8 comfortably because all the rooms and the living area are quite large. This past fall we upgraded our condo with an elegant tile floor throughout the condo. As you’ll see from the pictures this beautiful travertine surface gives this beach residence a very special look. You’ll find the balcony to be quite large as well with plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy incredible views of the world’s most beautiful beaches. We like to bring our binoculars along when we come so that we can enjoy our morning coffee while we watch the dolphins playing in the gulf. Sometimes it seems like there close enough to touch. Our condo is decorated with a more upscale beach theme that’s very comfortable. We wanted to create the feel of the beach without “shouting it out”. We also wanted to make this a home away from home. For us and our guests. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some of the unique features of this wonderful beach environment:

What a perfect spot for our vacation! The condo was great with everything we needed. Communication was good and check in was effortless. The fact that it wasn’t overcrowded like other places nearby was an added bonus. We had a great family vacation here, and we highly recommend it!

We had such a great time. Watching the dolphins swim by in the morning from the balcony was fantastic!! Plenty of room for our group of 8. Checking in/out was easy as can be. Overall, we were elated about the place.

The room…wonderful! The hot tub…great! The pools…very nice!The parking situation…not. The description of parking was a bit misleading. I understand that is partly my fault for not reading between the lines. The overflow parking lot was small and on a “first come” basis and for the second parking pass only. Our additional vehicles had to park almost 2 miles away in paid parking service. We were asked to move our umbrellas from the shore line (which was well away from their “property line”) by staff, who in general were not very personable in my opinion.

**Hotel Property:** The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly the parking attendants who assisted with the limited parking situation. For a 4-bedroom condo, it was frustrating that some units clearly had two designated parking spots while we were only assigned a single designated parking spot. Fortunately, they have additional parking across the street that is free. The main thing is that this hotel doesn't have any baggage trollies. This was very disappointing considering how many guests they receive and the inconvenience of carrying all the bags to the hotel room. We had an issue with the smoke detector batteries dying and found it difficult to reach property management by phone. It would have been better if they clearly communicated that texting is the best way to contact them. Once we texted, maintenance arrived quickly and resolved the issue. The property itself doesn’t offer many amenities, but it’s great if you're primarily looking for beach access. Ice is overpriced. **The Room:** Cleaning was very basic, with dust everywhere above and below eye level. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the pillows were so thin we had to stack all the extras just to get some neck support. I didn’t get the rest I needed because of this. The furniture could definitely use some updating, and the ceiling fan seemed unstable, making me worry it might fall. The AC control panel was barely attached to the wall, adding to the feeling that the room needed better maintenance.

We loved the property. It was large and comfy. The beds were not as comfortable as we had hoped, but they were okay. The view was magnificent and it was convenient to everything. We laughed necause we couldnt find the 3rd bathroom, but it was there! Overall, a great place.

We stay in PCB every summer after I worked in the area for a year. This is by far the best location and best condo we have ever rented. Everything was perfect and easy. Highly recommend.

Almost perfect

My family stayed here for 5 nights. There were 7 of us, and having 4 bedrooms was great. The kitchen was well-stocked. Ice maker wasn’t working, but mgmt supplied ice trays. The pliving room now has a big sectional couch instead of the plaid sofa and loveseat in the picture. It was very comfortable. The dining area really just served as a catch-all, since we had all our meals on the balcony. Two of us are older, and the bar type chairs would not have worked for us. The balcony is spacious with lots of seating. A couple of chairs have rips in the webbing. The cover for the wall-mounted light on the patio was on the floor behind a chair, broken. The bed frame in the master needs some work - it was wobbly and very noisy when we moved in the bed. The mattress could use replacing. The master bath seemed dark, maybe just needs different light bulbs. Water pressure for showers was excellent! We have some tall people in our family. The bathrooms in this condo seem to have been designed for very young children. Check-in and check-out were very easy with no keys involved! Parking was adequate. Three elevators kept up with the demand. There is a lot of street noise, but it calmed down by midnight or so. The beach is very nice, except for a drainage type pipe that drains brown water right into the Gulf. Not sure what that is. The Gulf water was clear, blue/turquoise and very comfortable. The pool was nice, but small. Overall, a great place for a big family.
