It was a nice hotel overall. The breakfast is not a buffet but they do serve you. We never seen any mermaids which were promised when we got there. However, the pirates were awesome playing games with the kids. The view is PERFECT!! the rooms were clean. They don't come clean your rooms everyday, they only switch your towels out. Easy access to the beach was the best part!! We got the room with a kitchen and it was fully stocked which was nice!

Like that restaurants was close if you didn't want to eat on strip. Breakfast was served hot. Didnt like that they only had 1 working oven.

I loved this property and being on the beach. The bad part about this was the free breakfast. You literally had to wait in line for an hour. It’s not buffet style the “cafe” served you. I didn’t like the set up. We also ate there for lunch and it was not good at all. We ate there once and would not pay to eat there again. Other than that the staff was nice except one older person who seemed to be annoyed and didn’t want to leave her seat to help me.

We checked in late and the lady at the counter was short & somewhat dismissive. She was overwhelmed with guests calling in requests. Long line for breakfast if you aren’t early. The pool & hot tub were great! The access to the beach was excellent. The room was a good size.

Home away from home

I've been staying at Days Inn in Panama City Beach since high school years, long before the internet...lol. This has always been a great property. Its seen several renovations since the 80's, but its always been great staying there. They have just gotten better. Most recent trip was awesome. I love how they've kept 'The Grotto' in their theme. Housekeeping is great, friendly smiles and very accommodating. The staff in all are great, always welcoming, its like going to a second home.

It was good. Not the best I've ever stayed at but good. Staff was super friendly. Our microwave didn't work and you could hear neighbors through the walls but maybe they're just loud people. One elevator was broken leaving only one. Could be annoying at times. Appreciate that every staff member we encountered was really friendly though!
