I almost did not book this due to reviews BUT I’m so glad we did! It is an older place so of course it’s going to have flaws. The food at the bar on site was 10/10! Best burgers and pizza ive had in a long time! Steven at the bar was great and had such a fun personality! Rooms were again older but clean! We had a cabana room so it was ground floor beach side and perfect! Just steps to the beach! One pool was being drained but the other pool and hot tub were accessible in the mean time for use. I didn’t take many pics of the room but I added the outside and one inside of our room. It also had a kitchen with utensils and pans but we did not utilize that.

The Flamingo Ain’t What She Use to Be

Truly from opening the door to the room it was a horrible experience. I went in and could see disgusting stuff on the walls, baseboards, restrooms, kitchenette, the covers, balcony, rust in the restrooms including every where else. I took many pictures because I couldn’t believe the shape this motel was. It had the smell of drugs all around, smoke from cigarettes and the pool and hot tub was not safe with people jumping in the pool and hot tub over other guest. When I told the front office they told me there were no pool rules. And there was nothing done about the drug use (smell) and cigarettes, which second hand smoke is known to be worst than smoking it yourself. I have many photos, would you like to see them.

It is an amazing older property and one of 2 bedrooms did not have air vent a fan was provided. It was comfy enough. The pool area was my 7 year yr olds fave part. 2 pools and a bar with great food and drinks that was open til at least 9. Beaxh access was super. Most parking is across the street but proved super easy and convenient. You can park and not need car entire trip. Shuccums and Diegos Mexican across the street (easy to cross) a Tropix for souveniers ans hotel offered soft drinks. This is a very mom and pop place that id stay at again. Nothing fancy but very relaxed atmosphere. If you want luxury id avoid but fun and ease id recommend. No frills but very once again worth stay.

To start off, we had a room in the tower. The tub would not drain properly when taking a shower. The AC had a sour smell. There is only 1 elevator and it stinks terribly on top of having to wait forever for cleaning staff getting on and off the elevator. The sink that should be in the bathroom, is in the room with the beds. And dont waste your money at their bar, your pretty much paying $12.95 for juice. Half of the maintenance staff look like meth heads. Needless to say, we wont be coming back this hotel.

Our family has been staying at The Flamingo since 1996 for myself and I believe my Aunt and Uncle started staying with The Flamingo in 1994 for their Honeymoon. Older company to many of the others popping up along the strip but, well maintained. Theyre steadily updating and improving. Our last visit the bar was in the middle of being built. This week we were able to enjoy it. The food and drinks were great and prices were so low. All three bartenders we met were awesome as well as the cook, Steve/Steven, he came out and spoke with us a few times. He always checked in with our daughter "making sure his burgers are up to par" lol Cant recommend The Flamingo enough.

They have a bar/grill with burgers and pizza open now. Food was great, and service was quick and staff very friendly. We were able to check in early, staff worked to ensure we were all close to each other since we had several people in our group. Everyone had a great attitude, and was working to improve the property and was cleaning and painting constantly. We always enjoy our stay at the Flamingo.

Right on the beach. Sun deck was so nice to sit and watch the waves without having to get out on the sand. Staff members were all wonderful! Food, liquor, and shopping directly across street. Property was dated but very clean.

The only positive thing I have to say was that it was close to the beach. First of all when I booked it was supposed to be on a beachfront but it absolutely was not. They sent me across the street. The room looked dirty. The couch in there look like it’s been there from the 80s, the bathroom wall had black mold on the wall .The water pressure was not it. The staff was extremely rude. also, my husband does concrete for a living and he even noticed very long cracks on the upstairs level and it seems very unsafe they might wanna get that fixed he said.

I stay here almost every time I visit Panama City! Always friendly service, maid service doesn’t bother you unless you ask, good prices especially to have a kitchen in room. Having two pool options is great so when one is full you can go to the other. Great views from the tower!

I saw a lot of people smoking weed, and my family and I couldn't stand it. The beds are small. It was uncomfortable sleeping with my wife. The rooms need renovations; they look run-down. I definitely won't be going back there.

10/10 recommend! All of the staff were so friendly. The rooms were clean and the hotel is in a convenient area with lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. The only inconvenient thing was the elevator took quite a few minutes to come down and the parking is across the street if you are unable to get a parking spot in the front of the building. We will definitely be back!!
