No housekeeping during our 3 night stay..Trash was emptied after the 1st day..That was it! No clean,towels/linens... The hotel doesn't have an ice machine. Motel 6's on the road HAVE ICE MACHINES.. Ice is for sale for $2/bag.. When there is ice in the " ice storage".. The ice deliverer didn't make it to this big place on our 2nd night...EMPTY.. We drove to the Winn-Dixie nearby and paid 3.49x2 for ice...The pool was clean, the hot tub was nice..Overall, good.....Easy drive from the airport, literally no traffic 9/8- 9/11.

Was very dissatisfied. Both elevators quit working. Had to use the stairs and my back was out. There was a big gap between the bottom of the door and the floor that allowed bugs, etc. to crawl in the room. The room never got below 73 when set to 67. They told us to pull blinds and give it time. That didn't help so they sent someone up. They said the air was on some sort of sensor system so if you opened an outer door the air went off. They gave us box fans since AC wasn't working properly. Tried to complain to management but no one was there. Day of checkout we requested the manager call us upon arrival. That was yesterday and still no call.

I was beachside and the view was absolutely amazing. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Common areas were maintained and in use. Some things I did not like is there is very limited parking for the facility and there was not a general ice machine.

Had a great time, only issues were the mattress should have been replaced months ago and at least 2 frying pans in the rooms with kitchens. Staff was friendly, hotel grounds were clean, inside they have an ice cream shop and a small gift shop. The pool area was nice.

It was owned by a family. When they had it it felt like home. It was clean, well maintained and modern. They sold it. This is the second year of the new owners. Tub was draining slow and one of the elevators was broke and the other one worked sometimes. It broke 2 times while we were there. They only service the room on the 4th day of stay. So if you need towels you have to ask for more. The good thing is Darlene is still there and staff is friendly.

The staff was pleasant but the facility needs updating. The mattresses need replaced as do the linens. The air system shuts off intermittently causing it to be difficult to maintain a constant temperature. There were a few 6 legged unsolicited visitors that could probably be controlled.

In need of updates. The beds are horrible, not comfortable at all. There's rust around the doorways and on the stove. The hotel was nice overall, but it really needs to update. Great views and access to the beach.

Our room, and others, smelled like a pot shop. The pool area reeked of urine. The mattress was rock hard and worn out. Overall the property is old and worn out, in desperate need of some attention. The staff seems bored and disengaged. On the plus side, the beach is beautiful. My advice is find someplace else because the Palmetto Beach Resort is way past it's prime and they don't seem to care.

The Good, Beautiful view of the ocean, the staff were nice, I had an issue with my Truck and the Maintenace person helped us. The room was clean, and the price was good. The bad there was no vent in the bathroom, the room was little dated, but it was clean. The room was not ready when we checked in, we got there at 4pm. I waited in line to check in and then went to sit in car until room was ready. They said I could start using the facilities, but I waited in my car. When they paged me that the room was ready, I had to wait again in a line behind three people. I didn't like that I had to wait in line two times to get checked in. They need to fix that. The other issue was the control to the AC seemed like it was set to not go below a certain number. It would turn off and we had to turn it back on. It did get cool enough that we were comfortable or I probably would have checked out. I would probably stay again because it was affordable and clean and the staff was nice.
