Very disappointing that the pool was out of order and a luke warm hot tube is not a substitute when you have children under 12. No signage for this issue at check in desk. Also do power strips for appliances meet SD electrical code? I assume its been many years since the governor actually stayed in this place.

Fire extinguishers wet padlocked. Pool was closed. Hot tub jets didn’t work. A new guy was there as the “fixer.” He has his work cut out. All the workers at the front desk were super nice and apologetic.

Very overpriced for an old building and outdated rooms, all the “amenities” were closed and from what i gathered from one of the staff it’s always that way. No screens in the windows, the heating/AC what incredibly loud and kinda smelled when running.

Well it’s comfortable. The swimming pool unusable full of black water. Jets do not work in hot tub . Suite hot tub does not have a plug to hold water but we improvised and it was good.

Better than many in Pierre

We have stayed for nearly a week each year since 2022 while working near town. Rooms are good & clean, although some show wear. Breakfast options are above average. This year they actually did some room cleaning daily.

We chose this property because it had good reviews, overall an 8. We were looking for a safe, clean place for our family. The clientele were less than put together, the room had used tissues and energy drink cans in the pull out bed, stains on the pull out mattress, stains on pillows, a hole in the door in the bedroom, burned out lightbulbs, and a red heat lamp bulb in the bathroom (?). Additionally, the hot breakfast (eggs and sausage) were both cold (1st thing in the morning) and there was not any decaf coffee in the breakfast area.

I chose the hotel cause it is part of Wyndham Chain. I felt it was a place for people seeking section 8 housing. It needs upgrades and yes it appears some have been done but just not what I expected

When I checked in and got a room key the room had not been cleaned. Left over food on plates and nasty cup of coffee. The beds had not been changed. This was after 7:00 pm. The desk clerk offered a different room but I needed the handicapped room for the shower. The clerk did call someone in to clean the room but it was a terrible first impression. Also, the pool and hot tub were out of order. I will not stay here again or recommend this motel.

Property was clean, room was stocked and in good order. I checked in after 10pm and Tyson was very polite and very professional, as late as I was Tyson took the time to explain different room options and amenities, he even walked me to my room to make sure everything was satisfactory.
