25th anniversary stay on par

We were to check in at 4 and our room was not ready until 6. One of the 3 elevators was not working, which caused major delay in getting around the hotel timely. You didn't have much choice but to pay for valet parking.

Chill vibes but not worth the cost.

In our opinion, the price of the overall stay was not equal to what was provided. The breakfast option, at an additional, cost was not at all worth it. Firstly being able to find the buffet was difficult the signage was of no help at all. The food that was provided at the buffet is such of inclusive buffet at other hotels. It was room temperature not hot and as a person that's can not consume pork due to allergies there were no others options at all. And no way to let someone know to not charge because you weren't able to eat. The mosquitos in our room made the stay a little less comfortable. We didn't not get to enjoy the balcony at all. Being by the lake some kind of installed repellent system would've been nice. The dead bugs on the walls were everywhere upon arrival. One of our bed pillows had mold on it and could not for safety be used. (Pics attached) Otherwise the room was spacious and comfortable. Although the resort overall is beautiful and has a lot plenty of add on amenities as well as beautiful photo moments. I do not feel as though the stay cost was worth it and for that may not return to stay. I think it would be more valuable to just buy a day pass.

Overall we had a good experience. Love Jimmy Buffet, so property themes were enjoyable. Improvement suggestions: Elevator service was kind of slow. Much of the water amusement area looks run down and needs a facelift. Several features in the children’s splash area were not functional and really need a fresh coat of paint. Ants in children’s splash area; needs treating. Need water filling stations inside the hotel. Add a microwave on each floor (in ice machine area?) Several pool umbrellas in weathered and worn through. Complete lack of water rescue equipment all along the lakefront. (We were shocked at this omission!) Thank you! Recommend this hotel for the rooms and hospitality.

The hotel and the grounds are very clean and comfortable. The service is friendly but doesn’t seem to be in a hurry. The food seems to be directly from 7 Eleven and could use a little upgrade to be average.

This property should not be representing Houston when it is 1hr away. This property is only good for individuals that like to fish and golf. It has very limited amenities for the price per night. Everything closes early and there is not any convenience. You have to go to the nearest city to get anything to eat past 10pm. Employees are very inconsistent on what is told to you and they do not take responsibility for their employees. I would not recommend this property to anyone unless they are going for golfing and fishing.

Amazing Family Experience

This resort had everything you needed and more. I wish we had more days to spend. There were many activities. The pools were amazing and the service all around the resort was amazing. More than enough entertainment.

The staff was rude and unprofessional. It took forever to get food and drinks even when it was not at all busy. Asking a question was met with eye-rolling and sarcasm. Terrible experience.

The room was nicely appointed, but was not the room was reserved. I called both Exepidia and the resort itself to make sure we would have the correct accommodations upon arrival and we still did not get that even after a third phone call after finding outthat we in fact did not the right room. My daughteri n law is also travel agent as well, so this will not help her in being able to recommend this property. The coffe table in the room was damaged and the pool area paint was faded.
