We had an amazing stay at the Princess Resort. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept, the staff very friendly and professional. We loved the huge buffet which had an incredible amount of delicious food. The beach area was well groomed; the moss was washing up, but they were cleaning it up right away. This property was excellent, beautiful and great place to stay. I gave it a four because there is staff that try to give you free stuff such as massage or tour to one of the parks or islands but there is a catch. They try to sell you some type of timeshare but they call it credits and alot of money. Wasted half a day there cause she was so stubborn(manager)

While there were a few excellent staff members (cleaning staff, servers, bartenders), the concierge was useless. She couldn’t help with booking larger groups for dinner and when she did book a small group, she got the time wrong. Our room door didn’t close properly and some sort of animal got in, ate our snacks and left a mess. Security said they wouldn’t replace the food until an investigation happened. They never got back to us on the investigation…however maintenance did come to fix our door the next day…so clearly not out fault that the door didn’t close properly. To sum up…I’d never return to a Princess Hotel. I’ve been to many all inclusive resorts and have never encountered such absurd customer service.

The resort was newly renovated and they were working on the other side while we visited. We did not know this until after booking. The room was in a good condition and clean. Staff is friendly. The food was good for an all inclusive. Recommended areas for improvement: we had to request the mini bar be refreshed and adequate towels/wash clothes multiple times, and they had no activities for kids 8-18yrs. The arcade/game room and water park with slides were both closed during our stay.

Let’s start off by saying the staff were so nice and always very friendly! However, the resort was nice, but the room smelt like mould and had sewage smells a few times where we had to call the front desk. We originally picked this resort in Mexico because of the amazing kids pool and slide area. We were moved last minute from the Grand Riviera to the Grand Sunset next door where they said it had opened brand new w/renos as of Nov 1. However, that was not the case the pool area for the kids was not open at all for the two weeks that we were there and they failed to mention there was constant active construction, jackhammering and loud noise all day long. We actually complained to Expedia because they failed to mention that. If you read in the very fine print and scroll down far into policies they mention a few sentences about some construction, but it’s very limited information. We feel like the hotel was very deceptive and not transparent in addressing how much construction was actually going on. When we complained to the hotel, they basically blamed this on Expedia and said that they knew about this construction for a year in advance. However, Expedia was very helpful and we came to a resolution on an agreement. We had to provide proof videos and photos of the active construction happening at the resort which was immediately outside our balcony, demoing a pool bar with active jack hammering and power tools all day long. If we’d known, we would’ve booked elsewhere.

This is the kids pool area that was closed the entire time we were at the resort.
The pool slides and kids areas were closed the entire trip, which was one of the main reasons we stayed there, and we were not informed.
