My son and I arrived on a Saturday for the evening, we showed up around 11 am and was told we can do pre check in at 12 so we went and walked around came back at 12, got our room number but said that our room wasn’t ready yet, guaranteed to be ready by 4. I went to see where the room was located, found it and looked in the window, the room was ready, we saw house keeping and they told us it’s ready to go, we went and picked up some stuff at the store, went back to the check in desk around 2 they told us it still wasn’t ready so we disappeared for a few more hours until we showed back up at 420 and they finally let us in the room. Other than that it was clean, spacious, easy to find and a great location. I’ve stayed there before and I’ll stay there again;

NOT a RESORT!

Front desk staff was alternately clueless or rude. We thought we’d reserve the hotel but they put us in the motel. The motel rooms were loud, with party revelers and just loud talkers and walkers. We did get plenty of towels, but there were no towel bars in the room to be found. We also requested extra blankets and they told us that housekeeping was on his way and never showed up, at all. Very musty and with a wet, basementy smell. While clean, the setup is very far removed from a resort- closer to a dump !

We paid for an ocean front apartment and ended up with with a noisy, dated pool view. Spoke to two different managers at the hotel and basically got the oh well we are booked we can’t help you: this was not true. We come here every year from Sparta lake Mohawk nj: this sadly was our last stay.

The staff at this hotel were very kind and the rooms were reasonably nice. However, I did experience some issues with bugs in the room.. including in my bed, all over the ceiling and even a cockroach in the bathroom toilet. While the hotel itself isn’t in bad shape, these unexpected visitors did affect my overall comfort. It’s really frustrating to come home exhausted from a trip only to have to unpack my bags outside and rush to a laundromat out of concern about bringing roaches into my home. We kindly confronted the staff about the issue while checking out and we were told the manager would be reaching out shortly. We were never contacted. I can confidently say we will never be back!

We stay here multiple times every summer and this was the first time we had problems. The tv in our room did not work and neither did most of the outlets. We were awake half the night because the lightbulbs in the ceiling weren’t fitted correctly and rattled constantly. My other big issue was that the hotel bar and also the restaurant were not open, but the woman at the desk said they no longer operate it themselves. The pools, the location, and the staff are still wonderful as always. Just disappointed this time around.

Upon arrival we were informed the computers were "down". the front desk attendant Anna was extremely calm thought out the process with many people wanting to register. We were under the impression our reservation was to stay at the Hotel not across the street at the Motel. That was disappointing. The convenience of access to the beach was good, but still would have preferred to "Hotel". Why were we not informed of this when making reservations?? Having to pay "Hotel" price and stay in the motel should have been a different amount.

Okay overall but you can get same quality for less at other hotels in the areas. Location was ideal for our tournament n the beach. Room had broken and dirty blinds and steam room was filthy. Our ‘oceanfront’ room faced a side road and only had one window - not worth the upgrade.
