Step into a world of enchantment at our Magical Bayfront Home, nestled along the picturesque Western shore in a historic 15-home community. Immerse yourself in a captivating blend of history, modern luxury, and breathtaking views that will make your stay truly unforgettable.
My home has yesteryear charm as it was contracted in the early 1940's but totally renovated adding even more charm to this 3 bedroom home that sleeps 8,
My home is located in a one of the kind community on the Chesapeake, we offer more amenities than any other community on the Bay. We have a 450’ pier, great for crabbing and fishing, a boat ramp, 350’ of private community beach with picnic tables, beach chairs, fire pit, a oversized charcoal grill and fossils from the Miocene era everywhere on the beach. You can walk north for miles on a sandy beach, and there is a private entrance to miles of the American Chestnut Land Preservation Old Bay Forest from our land.
Embark on a stay where your well-being is top priority. Our recent installation of an air purification system ensures 99% germ free environment, both in the air and on the surfaces. Breathe in the freshness as you relax in a home that not only delights the senses but also cares for your health.
Bay Adventure Awaits:
For the adventurer in you, explore the Chesapeake with our kayaks available for rent at just $75.00 each for your entire stay. As you paddle through the shimmering waters, marvel at the stunning sunrises and panoramic bay views that paint the sky with hues of magic. Parkers Creek Bird Sanctuary awaits you just 5 miles north. Enjoy the abundance of wildlife and array of native Chesapeake Bay plants and flowers as you paddle up the creek.
Enjoy walking for miles on winding trails thru our old bay forest, located just adjacent to our property. There are eagles’ nests along the trail and abundance of other birds that will sing you a symphony to delight your senses. The sounds of frogs add to the chorus.
Nature’s Playground:
Beyond the bay, our 450-foot pier, miles of nature trails, we have an open recreation field offering endless possibilities. Weather fishing /crabbing off the pier,
searching for sea glass, sharks’ teeth and other fossils from the Miocene era or having a fire on the beach at night cooking marshmallows over our fire pit, this is a haven where memories are born.
Swimming is prohibitive because of the jelly fish which typically come in at the end of June and are there for the duration. You may even find some in May and early June so be sure to walk on the pier to see if there are any in the bay. If you do get stung, use vinegar to relieve the sting.
Pet Friendly Paradise:
Bring up to two furry friends along to share in the joy of this coastal escape. With a pet friendly policy and a nominal fee of $75.00 per dog, your four-legged companions can enjoy the sandy shoreline and join you in creating everlasting memories. Dogs must be on a leash. Sorry, cats are not allowed as too many people are allergic.
Charm Meets Modernity:
Step into a world where “yesteryear charm meets contemporary convenience. Marvel at the newly installed picture windows that offer post -card views from every window. Our gourmet kitchen, wrapped in a panoramic setting, invites you to create culinary delights with top-of-the-line appliances. I provide spices, flour, and sugar for your ease in packing. We love to cook so we have top of the line cookware.
Spectacular Spaces for Every Mood: I
Indulge in the warmth of two stunning stone fireplaces, hardwood floors, a mixture of beautiful antiques with comfortable sofas and reclining chairs, oriental carpets, and spacious gathering areas with breathtaking views.
The lower level is open with walls of glass surrounding two sides …. the views are breathtaking from every room. We have two separate family gathering areas on the lower level, one on the porch and the other by the stone fireplace with a 50” Roku smart screen T.V. This floor plan allows for everyone to have their space yet not feel separated from the group.
The upper level is conveniently designed as third sitting/sleeping area with another smart.TV over the fireplace. The sofa serves as a queen size bed. There is a trundle bed in this room that serves as two twin beds. This sleeping room is not private as you must walk thru this room to access the private master bedroom. Please review the pictures and make sure this is acceptable with your guests prior to booking.
The master bedroom boats a cathedral ceiling and a wall of glass, providing an uninterrupted view of the sun rising over the bay each morning.
You will love the desk in this sitting/sleeping room, perfect for your computer, if you can stop looking at the bay as it has a 6’ picture window.
The master bath is spectacular. It has an oversized floor to ceiling shower with two shower nozzles. There is a 6’ picture window in the shower with a stunning panoramic view of the Bay. Enjoy watching the sea gulls or the crab, cruise boats or shipping vessels while showering.
Enjoy an enclosed outdoor shower that has wonderful views of the bay. The front deck spans the entire length of the house. Imagine sipping wine or your morning coffee and watching the blue herons -- our local eagles -- and an assortment of other birds diving into the bay in search of their next feast. Or watching the large variety of boats traveling the bay for commerce or pleasure. This is truly the place where special memories are made.
We also have a back deck which is wonderful for morning coffee. The deck is surrounded by beautiful gardens offering an assortment of color for your enjoyment. There is a 20-year-old Crape Myrtle that graces our walkway. It starts blooming in mid-July thru August and sometimes into September. You will really enjoy the beauty of its deep blossoms as you sip your coffee. There is another tree that sits close to our deck, offering you lots of privacy, which is a favorite sanctuary for an assortment of birds. Expect to be serenade by various songs as birds chat with each other. Download a bird app and listen to the excitement of the birds around you.
This is a magical place. I'm not sure there are words to describe the charm of our warm and inviting home on the bay. The views from every room are simply breathtaking! You'll truly feel like you are on a ship overlooking a vast body of water. And the view is constantly changing.
As all our guests affirm, this is a vacation you will never forget – a magical escape that leaves an indelible mark on your heart. Book now and let the charm of our Bayfront home be the backdrop for your most cherished memories.
We provide free WIFI and linens, gas grill with a oversized charcoal grill on the beach.
I believe in the personal touch. Expect a friendly call from us after booking to address any questions or preferences. Your comfort and satisfaction my top priority.
Beach activities aside, if you wish you adventure off the shore, there are so many fun activities to do in our area. One of the more special spots located just 14 miles south from our home is Solomons Island. It is a charming village full of shops, great restaurants and fun activities for the entire family at the Calvert Marine Museum. The museum is a public, non-profit, educational, regionally oriented museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, and interpretation of the culture and natural history of Southern Maryland. They offer concerts and historical tours. Explore the history, culture, and lighthouses of the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxent River all in one place.
