The website should specify when they are having renovations and maybe discount the price; especially if the room is in the middle of the renovation area. I was staying there with my two kids and it felt so unsafe and hard to breath sometimes.

Hot being remodeled W/O notifying customers

After checking Best Western website, I booked through Hotels.com. I paid for the room at the front desk. This stay was for my son, his wife and their two children, age 4 years old and 18 months. I had requested a crib for my granddaughter. I booked this room well in advance before they arrived. My son and daughter-in-law informed me that they were in room 318, 3rd floor. It turns out that the hotel has been remodeling since January 2025. No where on Best Western or Hotels.com website mentions that the hotel is being remodeled. The floor was being drywalled with repairs, taping and mudding and sanding of the walls (between 9am to 4pm). My son and daughter-in-law called the front desk requesting a room change but was told there were no other rooms available. They spent 4 nights in this room. Additionally, the room had no outlets on one side of a bed and had to run an extension cord for powet. Only one outlet for USB cable. You would think that Best Western would have put a family with small children in an area where ghere was NO CONSTRUCTION was being done as well as letting it's customers know about the remodeling be done on thrre hotels. Just really poor concern for families and little children. Additionally, the door to the room would not close properly.

The hotel was under a renovation that we did not know about. Nothing in any communication mentioned that. A portion of the hotel was updated and it was not a busy night. We were not on a wing that was updated. We were the last room down a dirty hallway with a stain filled carpet leading up to our room. The room was ok and really no complaints other than thin walls. For the price they charged, we should have gotten a better room or a discount.

We stayed five nights in three different rooms. First room thermostat didn’t work and had to have maintenance fix it. Changed rooms after extending our stay. Second room the toilet was clogged and maintenance had to get us to change rooms so that could snake it. Third room smelled musky and smoky. Breakfast was good though and the staff was nice. They were in the middle of renovations.

I liked a lot about thia place actually. It was clean, it felt safe, the staff was lovely and kind, and the area was beautiful. But there was a random loud alarm that scared us awake in the middle of the night. It seemed like we were the only ones to have heard it as when we opened our door no one else seemed to have came out their room.

This is a hotel close to home that we were staying at for my daughters6th birthday. We were there for the pool. When we checked in they informed us that the has been broken ( which was not on the Expedia site) and when I asked the front desk about it they told me they informed headquarters but they have not done anything about it. They told me if I had I YMCA membership that I could go there or get a day pass. When we entered the room the balcony door was propped open and the room was right next to the elevator was you could hear aloud clicking. Asked if we could have another room and there was one but the fireplace was not working. So we stayed long enough to book another room at a different place with a working pool. When we checked out not even a half hour later they didn’t ask why. So I will never stay there, eat or drink there, or recommend anyone go there as well. They almost ruined my daughter’s birthday. Booked through Expedia many times and have even seen on the amenities when there is a ! mark saying pool is closed.

Not worth it

Booked a corner room, with fireplace, jetted tub and balcony. Due to renovations, fireplace didn't work and the hotel swimming pool was closed. The jetted tub needed repairing and the room safe needed me batteries. The shower nozzle didn't cleaning and overall value for money was simply not there. The entire 3rd floor was being worked on and the hallway had sheet rock dust on the carpets, other parts of the carpet in the hallway had been ripped up, the walls had sections exposing insulation. The breakfast was nothing special. The staff were friendly and attentive but the experience was not worth it at all.
