Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Friendly staff not bad other than people smoking in rooms
Reception staff is very unprofessional. Staff inattentive on their personal cell phones. Talking work directives to employees in the lobby.
Very strong marihuana scent in the hallways.
Holes in the bed cover sheets and dirty.
The property itself is run down and poorly lit around the outside; the pool was full of green water (we did see an employee sprinkling chemicals in there) but even if you wanted to swim the weeds were so overgrown youd have to have a lawn mower to get to the gate safely. Our first room was so pungent that we had to go back to the front desk and ask for another room and the second room we got, though it smelled better, had mold in the shower. They did have a "hot breakfast", buy this I mean there were regular and strawberry waffles you could make yourself but the butter and coffee creamer and milk were all "community style" in just the regular large containers that you'd buy for yourself and not the individual containers that youd expect to find from a hotel...didnt seem health code compliant. Overall, it was a pretty miserable experience.
We booked the room when we were still 6 hours out. They called 3.5 hours later, asking if it was ok to put us in a room with 1 bed and that the tv was not working. When we checked in, the front desk said they had to take a room that was out of service for us since hotels.com over booked them. When we walked in the room the bed had dirty sheets on it and it was unmade. There were dirty towels in the bathroom. We just asked for clean sheets and towels and threw everything that was already there in a pile in the corner. The front deskman John in the AM was absolutely amazing and understanding. And said that his manager would fix it when she came in. After calling the manager, she screamed at me and then hung up.
If you aren’t traveling with an animal, ensure you get a room where animals are not permitted. Unfortunately, they had one room left for my stay and it severely smelled like animal urine.
We have stayed here several times on our trips to Portland from College Station. They are very accommodating for our pets. They place us close to the back door for easy access. The rooms are comfortable. Will stay here again.
My family and I did a late check in last night. Immediately the man at the desk was complaining about having to bring a portable crib to our room. Upon entering our room we noticed the TV did not work along with the WIFI. Waking up in the morning for the free breakfast, which was a plain waffle and boiled eggs. Pass. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Horrible. Room smelled like cat urine so bad. Complained the first night. Desk lady said no other rooms. She said she was cleaning 3 rooms because the managers daughter didnt clean them. She sprayed some "commercial grade" deoderizer. She said the bushes outside also stink like this. She knew there is a problem. Next morning had a severe headach, felt sick, felt like bugs crawling on me. Went to Sand Dunes and on the way vomited. My dog also got sick. Cut my trip short because of being sick and headache. Got back to room at 1245. I was locked out of room. Manager RG unlocked it and i told her cant stay because of smell. She was in the room said it smelled like "something". She knew of the problem. Asked front desk for refund for the night I didnt stay. Said I used third party cant do anything. I left and immediately complained to Expedia. The lady at Expedia called Hotel and spoke to RG the manager. She told them room didnt stink. The manager is a liar. Never stay here. The smell could be from mold, a chemical reaction to urine, or a meth lab, or from large quantities of rodent urine and feces. I complained to Wyndham properties. They basically blew me off even though there is a serious hea and dangerous issue. Wyndham never called me back. I called Expedia again after they sent email telling me Days Inn managment refused to refund one night that i didnt even stay there. Pathetic and Refused money rfund for the one night i didnt even stay. Horrible. Never stay there.
