Very good

The grounds exceeded expectations and the ease to trails made it easy to hike. The room was comfortable, but very average. Small bathroom, no air conditioning, and 90 min of WiFi a day. The views and ambience were the highlight! Note that there is not an urgent care or hospital close. The restaurant had delicious food, but somewhat pricey. The hibiscus margarita was awesome!
Management should take much better and more professional pictures of the rooms. Show the amazing lodge instead of a lame pool shot. This was much better than expected from the images.

Beautiful setting and friendly staff.
Antique rooms, shower tub with no shower curtain, minimal wifi and no cell connection
Beautiful location. Loved the spacious lobby and seating options. Our room was small and no sitting area/chair or desk. A TV would be nice, but not necessary. There was a layer of dust on top of the headboard. The room was very warm and the fan in the closet had a leg missing and kept falling over.
My bucket list is to visit all the Historic National Park Lodges and this is is near the top of my list. It did not disappoint in any way. Great room overlooking Lake Quinalt. Classic old lodge architecture. Good service, great waiter at dinner, beautiful mountain lake! Very nice waterfall trails - miles and miles.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Beautiful and cozy.
Just very hot
And no extension cord for the fan
Awesome hotel. Reminded me of the Dirty Dancing Resort. The only criticism is thst you have to pay $15 for 2 gigs of wifi. For $500 a night, you'd think they wouldn't nickel and dim you for wifi.
If I was really reviewing I give it one star for spookiness (Strong The Shining Vibes) One star for location beautiful spot. One star for history love the long and storied tales of who owned it. No stars for staff. They were overworked and probably underpaid. No stars for earth-friendly which is ironic but they had very limited recycling. No stars for value. For five hundred bucks a night I want unlimited towles they were stingy with everything from cutlery to napkins to coffee cups. Also no AC. I think it's very expensive for what you get and I think that Expedia was not exactly transparent on the pricing. I ended up paying double what I thought it would be (for two rooms) It did not look like seperate charges on the website. Also bad breakfast an slow service (nobody really working there). Would not stay again and will probably not book through Expedia again and telling this tale to all my friends and relatives. The hotel that is about fifty feet away lacks the history but looks way nicer. Nickle and dimed to death.
The staff was helpful with maps and getting extra soap and towels. There were beautiful views and was peaceful. A few updates could be added for the cost but it was a very nice stay. The restaurant was pricey for the quality but a nice historic stay.
I realize the lodge lobby is an old building, but it did not smell very pleasant. We opened a couple windows which helped. The restaurant food was just ok considering the cost. We did enjoy the friendly ladies working the lobby bar and snacks available there. ! Aramark needs to step it up considering the overall prices!!!
Lovely place. Comfy bed. No a/c but room cools off with provided fan and open window.
