The receptionist, I believe Derick or Erick, was exceptional! I had made a mistake with the check in date but he straightened it out for me. Expedia could not help with that. I will not be using Expedia again.

With the thin laminate floors they've installed, if you are in the lower floor you get to hear every single step made by the person above you. The people above me apparently decided to rearrange the furniture in their room at 3am and do some clog dancing. Didn't get a wink of sleep. Tons of traffic noise outside all night as well.

Pissed i. TEXAS

We checked in 6-2-25 and tv was not working. Told attendant said they would tell the maintenance person. Next day no tv again. No one cleaned the room and went to the front desk and got some towels. Told the attendant and said he would write a note to clean it. Next day still no tv and the room wasnt clean and had to get towels ahain. Talke with the manager and asked for a refund for each day. The manager had no empathy all and told me i would have to get a refund through hotells.com. Very very disastisfied and mad as hell. I expect compensation. Or i will never use these services again

Very helpful and courteous staff, clean rooms. Located right off Hwy. 16 about 20 miutes from Mount Rushmore. Included breakfast with lots of options. Does have a fitness room and a pool, we weren't there long enough to use them. Laundry machines and ice vending on our floor were under repair.

Hotel looks tired. Cheap flooring was cracking up. A hotel guest appeared to have brought an outside guest, who he apparently just met. They were being uncomfortably “friendly”, making ud VERY uneasy. Perhaps some mental illness or intoxication going on. Wife, adult daughter, and two grandkids left the pool early to get away from these two men, who were not swimming, but throwing a frisbee wrecklessly indoors while inappropriately approaching others.

The hotel itself was fine, our room didn’t feel very clean and the comforters were covered in stains which left us feeling icky. Breakfast was light but fine (eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, cereal, bagels/toast, waffle maker, mini donuts), and check-in/check-out was easy. The location was good for seeing different parks and sites around rapid city. The staff is what made up for everything here! Our first night we were kept up by noise from a neighboring unit, which was not the hotels fault at all, but the noise was very loud (we could clearly hear it through our earplugs) and it continued past 3am. My partner finally went to complain, and Donald immediately took action. The next day, Katie and Derek helped us move rooms since the noisy neighbors were staying another night. We are so thankful for Donald, Katie and Derek because thanks to their help, the second night we got a full nights rest and it completely changed the tone of our stay! Thank you all for your help!

The staff here is terrific. We have stayed here 3 times now. We enjoy the spot. One way in and out is wonderful. There is no unnecessary parking lot activity. The pool is wonderful climate controled area with wonderful seating. My son and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The breakfast nook is well cared for and does have eggs potatoes and sausage with other breakfast staples. A hotel priced great in a wonderful spot. We enjoy our time here. Thank you all. Wonderful care keep it up.
