This is an excellent option if you want to be within walking distance to many sites. It is also close to Bus Stop #1 where you can get on a bus to many destinations.

I booked through Expedia while my sister booked directly through the hotels site. Her room was 10x better and we booked the same thing. The hotel was in a great place, right in the middle of everything! If you want quiet, this is not the place for you! We were across the plaza from 2 dance clubs and numerous bars.

Great location, nice bathroom in room and helpful staff for the most part. Rooms a little dated and somewhat confusing to navigate around the hotel (2 buildings merged together). Noisy at night but can’t beat the central location!

The location was fabulous, right in the center of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to pickup and dropoff tours. Lots of restaurants and shopping at your fingertips. You could leave your luggage in a locker prior to check in and after checkout enabling you to walk around the city without having to carry it with you. I would definitely stay there again when I return and recommend it to others.

Can not speak more highly about this location! This place has my money when I return to Reykjavik. The staff was both accommodating and pleasant to interact with. Our room was equally as pleasant. This trip I actually experienced a moment where I lost my wallet in the street. After looking every where in the street, I eventually had to go on with my trip with no wallet. After sometime once I had returned home from my trip, I received an email from the hotel stating that my wallet had been dropped off at the hotel and that they were willing to ship it to me. My wallet is now on it's way back to me thanks to great citizens and an awesome hotel.

I stayed at this hotel twice in a week, with one night elsewhere in the middle of the week. The first two nights I stayed in a standard plus room, which was great. The second three nights I stayed in the standard room, which was not as nice. The beds weren’t as comfy, the tv didn’t work, and the hot water had a strong sulfur smell. Contrasting between the two, I would definitely recommend the plus rooms over the standard.

This is my favourite place to stay. Location is superb for walking, great breakfast and nice rooms and common areas. Unfortunately this time I was bitten up pretty badly my last night. Wrote to the hotel but heard nothing back which surprised me.

The newly updated side of the Center's Plaza site is beautiful, clean, and in a great area for access to multiple destinations in Reykjavik. The staff is wonderful and helpful, and in the lobby is an opportunity to socialize in a clean, open environment. There is street noise at night which can't be heard with the windows closed, coming from a few local night clubs. Overall, a really great experience, and very clean.
