Disappointment at Tomahawk

This picture is far from the truth. It is very run downed. The furniture is very old. The deck needs staining. The breakfast was an absolute joke. We left without eating. First of all, it didn't start until 8am. Secondly, it consisted of hard packaged rolls (like Little Debbie), large bottle of orange juice you had to pour yourself a glass that all shared, no decaf coffee "we were throwing it out so you have to make your own in your room". We don't use coffee makers in rooms as you don't know when they've been cleaned. They also had Nutri-grain bars. There was packages of instant oatmeal but no bowls, no hot water. We mentioned that the hotel was very outdated and the gal told us that there just isn't money in the budget to remodel. It had a very musty smell also. I paid extra for a lake view and they let a huge truck park right in front of our window blocking our view. I had to call a phone number to get any type of service. There never was anyone at the main desk. For $176, it was a very disappointing stay.

I really liked our room and the place is beautiful but the only thing I had a problem with was that the bed was not comfortable it had a very obvious area where the springs must of been broken

The lake view and beach were the only thing that kept us here. There was a funky smell in the room as when we checked in. The locks on the back door locked us out and the key lock they gave us did not work. When we were let into our room they said "it's just that way with these locks". Would have been ok if we had been warned about the disfunct lock. We were not warned. There was a man employed here that looked through our window. It was extremely disturbing. Overall an awful experience. Guests should not let the views sway their initial opinions. There are one hundred places that are run professionally within 25 miles. Good luck to any who stay here. And pack lots of food. Their "breakfast" is an absolute joke.
