Accessible for me and to the area

I frequently stay here for its convenience to I-64 and other places in the Short Pump - Glen Allen area. It is reasonably priced, and the evening front desk person is great. I need an accessible room and their room is more than adequate for my needs. The bed is comfy. There is no need to worry about food because it is all around you. I find this location is great for a weekend getaway where you have access to more things - the mall, restaurants of all types, a movie theater, and food shopping too.

My pet peeve with hotels is the room darkness level when the lights are out. This is the first hotel in over 2 years I've stayed in, regardless of price or location (city, rural), that the curtains and the room door were designed to provide sufficient coverage from security lighting outside and in the hallway, so I could sleep.

Staff is super nice and helpful. You will not get any housekeeping unless you’re there for an extended stay. We had no issue getting towels from the front desk but it would have been nice to have our room cleaned during our stay. This hotel is just average. No frills. Nothing special. A place to stay in the area that’s on the cheaper side. The location is great though which is why I chose to stay at this property. I would stay again for a 1 or 2 night stay.

Unpleasant smell

As soon as I open the door to my room, a very unpleasant smell hit me in the face. Instant turn off. Could not tell exactly what the smell was. It was not food related. Not sure if it had to do with the heat and air unit, but it was not a good experience.

The property itself was outdated, especially compared to the other hotels in the area. I’ve stayed at numerous IHG properties, and this one was unlike the rest. While it met our needs for the few days we were there, I don’t believe we’ll be returning to the location.
