More than adequate, but a little drab and dated. The 1978-era Reader’s Digests compendia on the bookshelves in the hallway set the scene. We had a perfectly nice stay, but it’s a little stale.

Lovely charming historic hotel with a nice location easy walking to shops in town. Our 2 queen room was HUGE with 2 bathrooms! Such a nice surprise after days on the road at chain hotels. Only negative was a lot of noise from room above us with kids running and jumping at night.

I loved staying in such a historic building. The room(s) were nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. My dinner at the tavern was spectacular! I will stay here again next time I come to Middlebury.
