The hotel is a short drive from the historic downtown and the beach. The hotel looks relatively new or renovated. Our room was comfortable except the beds were high and the toilet was low. We preregistered for three adults but there were only two sets of towels. I'm sure we could have called for more as they have 24 hour service but we were only there for the one night and managed with what was there.The window had sheer curtains that looked like a cat had clawed them and heavy drapes that reached the floor. The problem was the drapes, when closed completely, covered the heater/air conditioner blocking the flow of air. The parking lot outside the window had really bright lights so it was necessary to keep the drapes closed at night. None of these were deal breakers. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Desk staff were pleasant and informative.

The bathroom door didn't close well and the bathtub caulking looked like a child did it. Water was all over the floor from a shower. No ice machine on the 3rd floor. The beds were comfortable but the room was dark especially the bathroom. Saturday breakfast was great but there was very little to choose from Friday. No hot food. Staf was friendly and helpful Great location.

The common areas are beautiful and nice to hang out in. The food was simple and delicious (I got in late and the kitchen was closing, but they were kind enough to cook something quick) the drinks at the bar were good, and the staff was all very friendly and helpful. I couldn't actually find the fitness room, the signs seemed to stop by the pool. The pool was a narrower lap pool, but was warm and clean. The blankets and pillows and temperature control in the room were wonderful, the mattress was a bit firm for my tastes. The bathroom was out of body wash, but I'd brought my own so it wasn't an issue, the bathroom itself was a bit dingy and poorly lit, but functional enough for my one shower before I had to leave next morning. The breakfast had a decent spread of fruit and essentials; it was great for my purposes and had purchaseable add-on options if I wanted something more. It was a short stay for me, but the hotel was welcoming and functional; everything I needed and some extra comforts beside.

When I checked in the associate told me there would be a $100 charge for incidentals. When the charge came through on my card it was for $147.60. She said it would come off & there was nothing she could do & when I checked out & she couldn’t do anything. After I went to my room I went back to the desk to ask her to correct it & she was hesitant to do it. Finally I had her take it off. I made her put it in writing to make sure I get my money back. So far I’m not convinced.

Amazing get away spot

Love spending time here because it’s so removed from the heavy traffic areas of main street and the town area, relatively speaking but the hotel and breakfast services options is really great too!

Overall, the stay was good and the Iris served my needs for two nights. Front desk staff was very friendly. Ok basic continental breakfast with bagels/muffins, fruit, coffee/tea, cereal selections, Carpets could use a steam cleaning. Rooms definitely need an updated television listing sheet. The sheet in the room wasn't close to the channel offerings that actually were on the TV. Would stay here again if in the area.
